He was sent by the organization to search for Rena Mizunashi in the hospital. He was pretending to be a patient in order to get close to Rena. After a run-in with Conan and the FBI, he commits suicide because of his failure to escape from Shuichi Akai in the ensuing car chase after his escape from the hospital ends in failure.
