In an effort to solve the case of 2501 (an illegal hacking program), he frequently locks horns with Section 9. He was part of the original movie; however, there is no mention of him in the series. Nakamura is seen once again in the OVA (Solid State Society), in a scene that suggest the Major was working in freelance for Section 6.
