She was responsible for training Chad and Orihime prior to their entrance into Soul Society. She also supervised Ichigo Kurosaki's final release training using the methods developed by Kisuke Urahara. In the WDKALY novels, she is revealed to have survived the war and helps out at the academy. She also plays a role in the CFYOW novel as a representative of the Shihouin clan, where she opposes Tokinada.
