He is the only Archangel and the original God's very first creation who took His place as leader after He died in the war. His current goals are to recreate the lost members of the Heavens (mainly the Seraphim) and guide the Church with God's teachings. He is a very loving person who believes that just because someone is a devil or fallen angel it doesn't necessarily make them evil, and that forgiveness and compassion are paramount above all traits. Michael is the one who gives Issei his Ascalon sword and eventually creates a special room form Irina to be able to have a child with Issei, who he calls "young pervert". On Issei's request, he granted Asia and Xenovia the freedom to pray and worship God despite their categorical role as devils.
