Moeru! Oniisan (OVA)

One year after Moeru Oniisan TV finished airing, this OVA appeared as a normal continuation. With the same staff at the same studio, 2 slightly longer episodes were made (30 minutes each). The show keeps consistency in regards to its base elements, same type of wacky music, same weird shenanigans and comedy skits, same random chibi and screaming, our favorite characters doing stupid shit thinking it's actually cool. If you watched the TV you will know what to expect and you will get exactly that but in better quality. The art style is more polished and detailed than we were used to, even the sound is betterbecause the staff wasn't forced by TV restrictions. The girls look sexier and wear cuter clothes, not just the boring sailor uniform. In regards to designs, the staff chose to use different colors for some of the characters' hair (which are original manga colors). It wasn't an annoying change, they work well, for example I got used to it quickly. The OVA has a new opening theme which is cool, lots of sakuga there and the song is fun too, perfectly preparing the audience for the insanity of what's to come. Explosions, car chases, guns, yakuza, martial arts are the staple of this anime and we get lots. Recommended to watch if you liked the series and even as a new watcher, Oniisan doesn't need context, it's just this wild high schooler doing idiotic things with a bunch of friends and enemies and there's a duck too.
