This being my first review, I'm not sure where to begin. However, after seeing the three-minute masterpiece that was Queen's Blade Rebellion vs. Hagure Yuusha no Estetica (I'll shorten it to QBR vs. HYE from here on out), I knew that I would have to write about this, so everyone can know how great this anime teaser really was. *note that I will only be discussing the first half of this special, as I was passed out from excitement for the latter half* Story: QBR vs. HYE opens with boobs and swords. It closes with boobs and swords. The simple yet captivating storyline is atale that will surely go down in the annals of history alongside other timeless classics such as Plato's Republic and Fifty Shades of Grey. While there wasn't a definitive "plot" per se, I was instantly gripped with excitement the precise second the anime started, and was so engaged that I was not even aware of my bodily functions for the duration of this anime. The best way to describe it would be "dashing rogue beats up and strips attractive women who clearly do not know how to fight." The blessing of its short length was that I didn't soil myself or starve to death due to my complete and utter lack of self-awareness caused by this anime. I give the storyline a 10/10. Art: I watched QBR vs. HYE in a minimal quality video format on a large projector screen. Suffice to say, I have played NES games with a crisper definition and resolution. In fact, it was so unclear that I'm not actually sure if I was watching this anime or just playing a match of Soul Calibur. So I really have absolutely no authority to assess the quality of the art of this anime special. I give it a 10/10. Sound: Like the video quality, the audio was also utter garbage. There was a persistent warbling throughout the anime that would have made it unwatchable were it not for the fact that I don't speak any Japanese and just read the subtitles anyway. I paid no attention to the background music, because I was too preoccupied with the visual spectacle that I could not really see. Rather than watch it again and pay attention to the audio, I'll give it a 9/10. Character: I will give a brief overview of the characters, and discuss their relevant strengths and flaws providing a detailed analysis of whether these characteristics helped make a more defined, realistic, and enticing character overall: Boobs 1: This character was the main character from Queen's Blade Rebellion. I have no idea why she was trying to stop the main character. Probably because he is a stud and was going through a portal to a dimension that makes more sense than this one. She had a sword and boobs, and was easily beaten. Boobs 2: This character was a nun from QBR who posed in sex positions as some form of attack, appropriately labelled as a "holy pose". The protagonist quickly dealt with this by punching her in a place that I was taught to treat with the utmost respect. She seemed satisfied after though, so there's that. Boobs 3-?: These are all equally attractive and absurdly proportioned women wearing a mix between armor and rave gear, all of whom end up showing bare breasts O_O. They were supporting characters, but still showed a surprising amount of depth and intrigue. I would have loved to see more of their individual motivations and backgrounds. Hyoudou Issei/Ryosuke Kaga/Other somewhat perverted action, school, and ecchi protagonist: No one can resist a charming smile and a move that undresses women. He's clearly a natural winner and I want to be his best friend. Characters overall: due to their surprising depth, complex backgrounds, and impressive talents, I'll give the characters a 10/10. Overall: QBR vs. HYE was an auditory and visual masterpiece. Adding to that the highly developed and dynamic characters, the thrilling story, and the fact that I couldn't feel my legs for three hours after watching it, there is no way this anime does not deserve the best rating possible. I give it a 1/10. No wait, I mean 11/10.

5 overall seen via eng sub Not bad considering. The time was about three minutes. Rather than doing a promotional video for the episodes to come they had a little bit of ecchi fun. Key word little but it was still creative. Imagine you work in retail and you are trying to sell your second season anime what would you do? not sure what you said but their gimmick was an out of nowhere fight(which could have used a little bit more of a premise). Now i wont say who won if anyone because of spoilers so imagine if someone did win what would you have them do? wina trophie?(boring) a mystery chest? Kind of. The battle was slightly entertaining but the way they went about bringing on their trailer from that was clever. It took me a moment to figure out what happened. The key is not to see this special as much of an anime but more a marketing tool.

This was genuinely awful and sexist. Why did the studio think, that taking one of their anime and disgracing every single main character by having them be stomped like nothing would make anyone want to watch their new show? The clear implication that all the powerful female warriors go down like chumps against the one male character only makes it worse. Could you imagine if Toei Animation had promoted One Piece back in 1999 by having Luffy beat the sh*t out of the Son Goku and co. back in 1999? You'd still have people be salty about it nowadays. This is how I feel about this OVA. Itis just insulting to anyone who likes Queen's Blade.
