Considering the title of this anime, one might assume it's about a girl who has magical prism powers. Sorry to disappoint you, but there’s no supernatural powers here. For a 12 minute OVA, Nijiiro Prism Girl is very fast paced. Without a doubt, this anime expects you to adapt to the world and characters that are presented to you. I, myself, love a good flushed out romance story, but this cuts straight into the climactic events in a short amount of time without the extra buildup. In the 12 minute time frame they had, the series provided a quick backstory for each character that wasencountered. With that being said, the anime managed to keep me somewhat attached to the story while keeping me “in the moment." However, Nijiiro Prism Girl entertaining me as a comedy, failed to do so. Nijiiro Prism Girl’s comedy is based on the main character’s ability to improv in an unexpected situation. There were a few scenes that made me a smirk, but overall, it couldn’t bring me to enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Another flaw that Nijiiro Prism Girl has is its generic art style. Characters that are presented don’t have distinctive looks that make them stand out. Of course, you’d expect an anime to have an opening and ending theme song. In Nijiiro Prism Girl, there’s only an ending theme song which isn’t very remarkable at the slightest bit. Unfortunately, this show suffers from being just another anime due to its generic art style, forgettable two-dimensional characters, and uninspiring score. I won’t say that I didn’t enjoy this, which I did, but if you have time to kill and want to see a few suspenseful romantic interactions between characters, feel free to watch this. Other than that, I don’t think I’ll be watching this again.

Despite the fact these are short ovas it develops the story very good, it's so catchy from the beginning, the drama is just perfect! At first glance the story doesn't stand out so much and you might say it's about the typical girl that is struggling so hard while she is inspired by her dead mother, but the story turns in unexpected events so you are: What will happen!!! and you feel all stressed so you cover your face!! OMG! The pretty cool characters and their amazing improvisation and actions makes it so thrilling. Regarding the art is a bit simple so I thought it was ten yearsold serie O: until I searched about it

Nijiiro Prism Girl is an anime about an elementary school girl who uses deceit to cheat her way through life. Although the anime is short, with only 4 episodes to the OVA and only 12 minutes an episode, you can tell a lot about the main character. She is not afraid to completely lie to the public about her age and use this lie to step over other child actors who wold have gotten their roles legitimately. As the audience, we are supposed to forgive her because her mother is dead. Apparently she is a great actress though, because directors let her just completely ad-libher scripts that they worked so hard on and say whatever she wants to. They probably did not even need scripts they could just throw her in and she would start crying and win an Oscar for no reason. As for the art, it just looks like a generic anime except the eyes are too big to look at and it is easy to get the feelings of shock and horror if you look at them too long. It looks like the artist was going for a 90s look but it is a little too clean looking to pass. If you completely ignore the feelings of the people that should have gotten the roles that Nijika did and just look at the show from her perspective, it isn't half bad. It is no where near tear-jerking, but it is not the stupid, gushy, romantic show I was expecting it to be. If you have around an hour of free time, you could give it a try if you really wanted. I certainly won't watch it again though.

I think that overall, this anime is really good, they could do a little better on the art, though, for example, the eyes of the characters are too big, they make up, like half of the head. They focus too, much on drawing just the eyes. I think that the anime goes wayyy too fast. I read the only chapter of this anime's manga that i could find, and it turns out that they cut off some parts in the first episode that was in the first chapter. As a result, the anime itself has only four episodes!!! They cut off sooo much. If theycould add some more episodes and include all the stuff that happens in the manga, then this could become one of my favorite anime's. However, the plot, overall, is awesome!
