I thought the main series was just alright. I generally watch any extra OVA episodes if that's the case. If you feel the same, I would advise skipping this. It's a double-length episode and Part A is built around extremely racist jokes. Like. EXTREMELY. Like. Literal slave shit and rape terror shit. It's not worth it. And, like, this is the anime community, so I know there are going to be people who say it "wasn't that bad" because it was "short" or whatever. No. Fuck that. It was extremely uncomfortable and entirely unnecessary. Enough that I would reiterate that if you weren't completely sold onthe main series, this adds nothing and isn't worth it. Part B isn't funny, but two of the girls go very OOC to have sex under a futon. It's really nothing special and in no way makes up for Part A. Black Lives Matter. Fuck this OVA. Edit for the other review: "...isn't this just definition of Japanese xenophobic culture?" is a deeply ignorant thing to say about Japan. It's not OK to be xenophobic. There is no monolith in Japan that says it's OK to be racist. There are Black Japanese people. Japanese media does not get graded on a curve with regards to diversity. 2013 is not "another time." The fact that the only Black men who appear in this series appear like this is racist on its own. The fact that you did not *recognize* those drawings of Black men as drawings of slaves or the joke being the threat of violation that they posed to a vulnerable girl speaks volumes... about you and your lack of awareness. Fortunately, your extremely *forgiving* description is enough that literally anyone with their head screwed on right will understand what I was talking about. Wait a few years and ask yourself why you felt the need to go to bat for this shit like you were somehow defending Japan. Embarrassing weebery.

Found this just today linked to Gokujyo, and gave it a watch. I'm gonna preface this with there were, infact ***NO RACIST JOKES MADE***. The teacher had three black men sitting on the back of her bus, and said they were her seats. They also appeared again in part A and scared Aya who was afraid of a spirit coming to eat her head for being pretty while she was in the hot spring. However this is deemed as racist, only god or someone reaching to the ends of the earth will know. The three black characters could be re-used as any desperate males, white or not,and were never referred to as 'slaves', or even touched on. They were simply part of the teacher's line about 'making it in the industry', to show she could get sex from anyone at all and had men on their knees for her. The fact that racism is being mentioned in the only other talk of this episode and immediately pushed into a saving-net of 'oh, i know other people will think this is fine and say it wasn't that bad :(((' is grossly immature. There were no rape jokes, slave jokes, or 'rape terror'. They added nothing to the episode, other than to reinforce the teachers' mysterious background and even if the intention of the creator was to try and display that the characters were 'slaves', isn't this just definition of Japanese xenophobic culture? If so, which I truly don't believe it is, it can simply be excused by the country of production and it's own culture at the time. This, of course doesn't mean it's right at all, but it doesn't make it racist at all. How about we tackle real racism and not black dudes appearing in a fucking yuri ecchi anime? Christ. Anyway, back on topic. The episode follows a longer format of a part A and B, double length, and features most of what you expect if you've seen Gokujyo before, except in two episodes. Following the antics of the girls at the Onsen, Ai and Utsunomiya have a lewd scene at the end as you'd expect in an ecchi. This is infact not out of character at all if you've seen the chemistry between the characters in a former episode of the series where they showed they had sexual feelings for one another. They get lewd under the covers while the other girls sleep, and Minami refuses to interrupt so she says outside. The episode ends with Ai asking Utsunomiya not to tell anyone about what happened, and that's literally it. Not my favorite episode, but it was nice to return to the series with new content I hadn't discovered before. All in all, its nothing special. It's what you expect from Gokujyo, and so if you were a fan of the original series, give this a watch too!
