Hello Kitty no Fushigi na Mizuumi

An interesting and somewhat refreshing adventure! This time Kitty and Mimmy go on a trip to the lake with their father in a story inspired by the story of the Loch Ness Monster. I think it's pretty plausible that the plot is inspired by this fictional creature because the main characters live in England, more precisely in London, so the real lake is not that far away, more precisely in Scotland. The twin sisters come to the location with their father where he tells them the story of the Loch Ness Monster and are immediately amazed. They think about how they would like to actually see itand find out if it is real. During the night while they are in the tent they hear a mysterious melody! This OVA is the beginning of the more "serious" Hello Kitty episodes like Sleeping Princess and Dream Tief, if you like Mysterious Lake I recommend you watch them. The episode also has an ecological message suitable for the youngest viewers which is an important plot point. Not much is said about the characters' past but that is not that common for this format, it would still be interesting to learn more about the characters who appear for the first time. Kitty and Mimmy have a good role as well as the supporting characters who appear, again we didn't learn much about one villain in the story. The music is okay but one or two songs would have improved the episode more, the picture looks better on average than in previous Hello Kitty OVAs. I liked the part that takes place in the forest the most because of Kitty's resourcefulness, for a moment the situation becomes much scarier! Recommended to all Hello Kitty fans as well as those who have time for a nice story!
