映画 ドラえもん のび太の南極カチコチ大冒険
About 700 million years ago, the Earth was covered in ice, becoming a white planet – a snowball Earth. It is said that this continued for millions of years... This time, Doraemon and his friends set off to an icy, wintry, freezing journey to find a hotter, crazier, and more exciting adventure than ever before! (Source: Toho)

First of all, please do not expect me to really 'formal' here. I will not really specifically talk about the story, art, sound , character etc... I will spontaneously talk ok, let's be fair. Ok, no spoilers ok. shh.. Before I tell you what I think about this movie, I wanna tell you a bit about my trip to Kanagawa prefecture, Japan where I visited F.Fujiko Fujio museum. It is about 1000 Yen , I booked a ticket just in the freaking morning at Tokyo before going there (which is about 9 hours before the visiting time!) which actually I am so fortunate to be ableto get 2 free seats , one for my sister and one for myself. 'Yo , hey we are discussing review here hey...!' Oh wait, just let me slowly , immerse you into the creator's mind. Fujiko-sensei is really someone (just when I typed this I really ....ahh... think he is just..) he is just super captivating and the motives and he tries to deliver via his works mostly focuses on one thing : 希望 , if I romanize this, it becomes 'kibou'. Kibou means hope It is a highly , and furthermore, let's say 'heavily' mentioned in his interview which was documented and displayed at the museum. I still remember holding a small toy-like phone which can translate to other languages (hmm as I recall it has Korean, Chinese, Spanish, English, Portuguese and Russian!) I hear him talks in Japanese rather than English. Let's pretend you do not understand at all what he says, I replayed thrice on his speech, he literally says : 'Spread the hope to the world' And there's one picture I remember, he went to Egypt to get some ideas about Nobita's and Doraemon adventure....oh my God, please take me back to Japan haha.... Moving next to this movie, there's a part where a villain being portrait as the same as the main character and I appreciate Takahashi-san 'brings' out the emotions at that part (this part of the movie is the huge mystery) because they did not actually 'explains' who is the one that mimics the main character!! But in the end Nobita , Sunyo, Giant, Shizuka and of course not being said Doraemon had a really great time on their adventure. At the course of ending the adventure, of course, 'kibou' appears and embedded deep within my fragile heart… and woke me up from the long hibernation so I can take my first step again to realise longed dream.

This was my first Doraemon movie in like two years. As someone who has always loved Doraemon movies, as well as the series itself, the enjoyment I had while watching this movie had more to do with nostalgia than with the actual aspects of the movie. ...There are only a few hrs left till the New Year, I came across this movie, and ended up watching out. I didn't have a lot of expectations, all I was looking for was a nice wholesome doraemon movie. And that's what I got. It's light, it's wholesome, it's Doraemon, it's good! It explored a crucial geographical aspect of ourplanet and added a fantasy touch to it. But as you all know, not all Doraemon movies are created equally, and this one definitely falls short when compared to Steel Troops or Explorer. Of course, I wouldn't have liked it if I wasn't already a doraemon appreciator. So I don't think this is for everybody. The visuals may be glorious, but there is no considerably depth to this one. I'd say, it's more of a light change of pace than the emotional rollercoasters that some of the Doraemon movies are!

A new Doraemon movie that I'm going to just shorten it in 1 sentence: Doraemon: Nobita and his another adventure with his friends where they continue to fuck with time and space and at the same time saving another girl or animals he found along the way, but this time it's both, at somewhere in Antarctic but not really. This movie was an original story from the anime staffs, not from the original author so some of you may think it's kinda mehhhh, but not really. I think they did a good job with the movie Story: 8/10 The story was tell good with enough details to grasp and itbrought back some nostalgia Art: 9/10 The art is amazing with 3DCGI for the background Characters: 8/10 The characters are, of course, the same so there's nothing much to talk about Enjoyment: 8/10 The development of the story is quite funny, definitely better than in the past Overall: 9/10 So that's that [SPOILER] After credits suggest that the next Doraemon movie 38 will be the remake of Doraemon movie 19

Summary: Cool theme that had a lot of potential ruined by disorganized setting. I enjoyed the beginning of the movie where the kids are playing in an amusement park out of the ice. I thought it was adorable. I don't recall another Doraemon film that features ice, so that was pretty cool to see. I also appreciated the way the story utilized time-travel to help fit all the puzzle pieces together. But surrounding those cool ideas were several problems that took away from the great film that this could have been. My biggest problem was the pacing of the movie. Therewere a lot of new questions and mysteries that stacked one on top of the other as the movie progressed, and it got to a point where I was distracted from the movie with me wondering "are they going to explain [plot device number x] soon?". As much as I liked the beginning of the movie with the kids playing with the ice, it didn't seem to fit with the flow of the rest of the movie. We also see a lot of scenes dragged on, like the dinner scene with the guest characters. There was also a montage of the characters exploring the area that didn't really need to be there. These moments could have instead been used to enhance Carla's and her professor's character and give them more personality. Another big problem was the fake Doraemon that appears. Nothing was explained. How and why it appeared, what its purpose was, nothing. It likely has to do with the final ice boss Blizzarga, but even that character wasn't explained very well beyond what it is. Fortunately, the climax battle scene was, for once, not rushed like some of the other recent Doraemon films, so the ending was satisfactory for what it's worth. Some minor details that felt off: Even though they explained how the Yukatan/Mofusuke paradox resolves, it glosses over the same paradox with the ring which could have helped to organize the story a little better. Nobita's dream early in the movie was not explained. I couldn't stand Suneo always referring to himself as "Boku-chan" instead of "Boku", like why did the production team feel the need to do that to him for just this one movie? Also the design for Blizzarga is a rip-off of the mythical giant from Princess Mononoke. The visuals were great for the most part, but the color palette felt the same throughout the movie, which minimized the contrast in emotional expression throughout the film. Finally, I thought I could not emotionally connect with any of the main characters at all, which is the first time I felt this way for Doraemon and Nobita. I think it has to do with the fact that we don't see an aspect of everyday life intertwined with the adventure whatsoever. No kid would jump onto a floating glacier to build their own amusement park. A lot of problems with the setting and pacing made the movie not as enjoyable as it could have been. But this movie explored an ice theme, which I think is a first for a Doraemon film. It's not a terrible viewing experience, but overall story quality lines up to be one of the weaker films in the franchise.
