Sengoku Night Blood

The only thing I *kind of* liked about this anime is the opening theme song and possibly some of the voice actors (i dont blame the seiyus for their awful lines). That's it. The rest are all poorly, if not dreadfully executed. I stick with the series because of the Sengoku theme but there have been a few times that I wanted to just drop this show altogether as it was ultimately lazy and boring so to speak. As usual it starts with the reverse harem theme: Ordinary girl gets transported to another world where its mostly dominated by guys and they all swoon over her forno reason. As a reverse harem fan like me, I don't mind if the heroine is a little useless, annoying as they seem, I usually give them the benefit of the doubt and wait till they reveal their redeeming qualities that makes them a little bit likable. Yuzuki (MC) on the other hand is way too useless, even her lines are so lazy and it just made the show so bland its aggravating. There was no utter motive why everyone likes her. She says one useless thing then bam! instant like from a warlord! lol The plot started with everyone fighting for unification then a girl comes along with her special blood but no one even dares to drink it just because... (I've heard in the game they actually do). Out of the blue some evil spirits (yakuma) enters the scene because they are after her blood too and it wasnt explained why. So in the end everyone decided to set their differences and fight together for her sake. No plot twists whatsoever. It feels like its just a show for the sake of hyper commercialism on the game.. Like "you wanted more? Play the game!" sort of thing. So no, I do not recommend this anime. I do not like how Toyotomi Hideyoshi looks in this show either... what's up with the get up?! Over all I rated this a 3. Tbh It's not even a good show to pass the time. Rather it puts you to sleep.

This is a very mediocre anime Its not good but not a total flop well to me at least. there were moments where they tried to involve you into the story, the setting, the somewhat "epic" battlefield between the warlords and well zombie-like monsters but the way they presented it was really boring. None of the characters were really memorable at all, heck even after forcing myself through the anime i can barely remember 1 or 2 characters and the only reason i can remember the mc's name is because they wouldn't shut up about her. Sure i get that she is the mc and allbut she took up so much screen time that the other boys barely have any character development at all, even when they do get their screen time, most of it felt boring. Another thing is that everytime the mc take the stage, she is either playing that same old innocent virgin-like nice girl role or being the damsel in distress making her more like a liability rather than someone you would love and want to protect. What really killed it for me is that once again another animal sidekick is considered useless

This story has a lot of potentials, but they tried to keep the MC in a neutral route leading to the love interest to be pretty much all over the place and unclear. I believe if they would have stuck to one route it would have been way better. That said I understand it was based on a visual novel, and keeping to this route show's a little of everything it has to offer. However, because of this choice, the storyline took quite a hit. All in all, I still enjoyed the show. some situation are a bit unclear but you can easily catch on afterward. Ialso noticed that in the last two episodes we had quite the recap which i didn't truly need when binge-watching.
