(this is my 1st review) please have mercy Pacing/Story I liked how to revealed more of Lilith's backstory and whats going to happen next in trinity seven but, for the first half of the movie it felt pretty rushed imo. When it got to around the second half it slowed down a bit and was more enjoyable. Art: I didn't dislike nor love the art it was about the same as the anime in my eyes. Sound:I cant say much as at the Anifest showing it was at a small room, and i was sitting in front of the speakers. Character: The antagonist character for the movie seems pretty sudden with no backstory or not a lot leading up to him. It seemed pretty sudden when he introduced who he was but made a good surprised while being confused. Enjoyment: It was fun seeing arata back again with his good taste and comedy and some nice fan service scenes.

First Review give me some slack, please Story 7/10:I haven't read the manga/light novels if there is any(sorry to any people if that disappoints you)so I do not know if this is in the line with it, but it is almost the exact same as the first movie, but the antagonist from the first movie had a bit of a back story while the second had none. Ar t8/10: Overall I saw no problems with the art but it wasn't a film focused on the animation and overall art of it. Sound 9/10: No problems with sound, it was great with no difficulties or mishaps. Character 5/10: The onlynew character brought in was the main antagonist, the Crimson Demon Lord, who we learn is supposed to destroy Arata's world and yadayada. Has no back story and relation to only one of the characters in the film. Arata is beyond broken btw. This man just gets stronger and stronger the longer the movie goes on. Enjoyment 9/10:I really enjoy this series so I may be a bit bias, but I liked the new movie, I just wish it was longer than an hour. Overall 7/10

First review so don't go to hard on me if i write it bad :) I simply loved it, i watched everything of trinity seven and i didn't know there were movies yet. The anime ending was kinda bad since i wanted more development, the movies really gave that which satisfies me. One little thing that bothered me a bit was the sound, sometimes when there were intense scenes, you could really hear the audio getting distorted cause of how loud it was. Thats all i have to say about the movie, i really recommend this movie to everyone who has watched the anime.

LA was only here for Liese and Lilith......TOTALLY WORTH IT. Trinity Seven Movie 2: Tenkuu Toshokan to Shinku no Maou drags us right into another mess with Arata and Co. by showing us the villain immediately, Arata gets beaten, needs to be even more powerful and defeat this new villain again. The thing is the previous movie villain felt like a non sequitur villain , but for this movie's villain, he has actual links to BOTH Arata and Lilith that makes this much more than a magic-measuring contest to see who's more powerful. That of the new movie villain being the FATHER of Lilith, so we getbackstory on Lilith and her entire reasoning of encountering Arata in the first place. THIS was something LA wanted but didn't realize, as we really didn't know much about Lilith, her being the most faovurable to win in the harem and all, but her actually getting a lion-share of development in this movie was a good narrative direction. What's more is that Akio and Liese gets some development in this movie, like Lilith, we get some backstory on Akio and why Akio was needed in the mission that kickstarted the movie in the first place, her backstory is mainly with her childhood and what caused her hometown to essentially be wiped out and ohh what do you, Lilith's father is the culprit. As for Liese, well we get the payoff from the anime series and her participating in several of the events in this movie such as unlocking Arata's power as well as the final battle of the movie and *ahem* Liese being LA's favorite character in the series and her screentime lengthened ALOT, THANK YOU movie. *cough* So, Trinity Seven Movie 2: Tenkuu Toshokan to Shinku no Maou has it's fair share of fanservice, as in ALOT and really it's Trinity Seven it's kinda a thing with this anime series and *ahem* with the major culprits to this fanservice being Lilith, Liese and Lugh, well yeah...*ahem* omega good job movie *cough*, though the movie tends to make the fanservice to "near" annoying standards, but again..LA can ummm ignore that. *ahem* LA really needs to stop coughing... The animation was to standard, though for a "movie", the animation did tend to dip at times though rarely to say the least. The fight scenes were decent and the character models were on point, it was 95% of the time consistent in all regards. Seven Arcs Pictures did ok, but that 5% of dip in quality out of nowhere was a bit annoying. The voice acting, well since we have the entire cast back, the voice cast was great as per always and since Liese and Lilith gets a good deal of screentime, yeah, LA will easily give the MVP's to Yumi Hara and Nao Touyama respectively as a result. Trinity Seven Movie 2: Tenkuu Toshokan to Shinku no Maou does have it's share of flaws, some LA couldn't overlook, one being the abrupt introduction to the movie itself, it just "starts" and expects us to know what is going on and to that they could had at least 10 minutes worth to make the intro and bit like a "movie" instead of the typical episode form the anime series. The second is that due to Akio, Liese, Lilith and Arata getting the majority of the screentime, the rest fo the harem rarely gets screentime besides being "support" and the occasional banter here and there, LA gets it, they want to focus on it's plot driven characters more, but to those who like the harem members like Levi and Mira...gets the short end of the stick in this movie. Finally would be Arata's power level, more specifically plot armour, well though LA will defend this movie in that Arata isn't invincible when he goes up against Lilith's father at the start, but once he powers up and faces him again, well the cliche of "friendship is my power" (thus plot armour) kicks in and it's....well yeah cliche in the result of it al, another words, LA gets what Arata's beliefs are what with Lilith's development and everything but the culmination was rather lackluster. Trinity Seven Movie 2: Tenkuu Toshokan to Shinku no Maou is a MUCH better movie than the previous one, but it still has old and new failings that keeps making these movies a decent enough watch, but could had been MUCH better, be it a longer screentime, more screentime for the rest of the cast and a better resolution to it's finale, but nonetheless LA was mostly satisfied with this movie as it's strengths BARELY surpassed it's ailing weaknesses. Liese best girl, but Lilith is gonna win...

tl;dr: A sequel film to main series that is the best so far in terms of romance and action, though it’s also incredibly rushed. Just like the previous film, this film too is a sequel to the main series, but for real this time. Unlike the previous film, this one is based on content from the manga and is thus not anywhere near being filler. Thus, this is actually a direct sequel to the previous film that picks up where the main series left off, though it’s so rushed it may not feel like it. This film drops you straight into the action, completely skipping how theygot there. I thought it might have been an in media res, but nope, you’re just sort of expected to pick things up from context clues as things proceed. To put it simply, the plot of the film is that a demon lord from another world, Abyss Trinity, has come to replace Arata and destroy his world and Arata and the rest of the cast need to defeat him. The more intricate details to this plot arise from that Abyss Trinity is actually Lilith’s father who can kind of take control of her, Akio’s past being deeply connected to Abyss Trinity’s previous appearance, and because Arata originally is nowhere near strong enough to defeat Abyss Trinity and thus basically has to grow stronger incredibly quickly in order to match him. The beginning of the plot is somewhat confusing, but eventually it’s not that hard to pick up what’s going on, though the fact that it’s skipping things does drag things down in other areas. Still, while the overtly fast pacing is a problem, things being mostly intense from beginning to end fits the plot pretty well and is a reasonable way to handle a film. How it manages to throw in some good comedy and romance portions in the midst of all that was also somewhat impressive. The action is also I would say the best out of all the anime adapted portions so far. The fight between Arata and Abyss Trinity is great and the random battles outside of that were good too. Watching Arata power up was also pretty satisfying, though, the fact that elements of this were rushed does drag this down a bit. Arata has powers at the start of this film that he didn’t have as of the end of the previous film. I’m not even sure where it skipped him getting these powers, so him just suddenly having those powers feels kind of abrupt. But even more than that, the system to how his powers work wasn’t there as of the last film, and that system is crucial for how his powers work in this film work, so as that was never explained in the anime it’s also kind of confusing. Still, if you’ve been paying attention and remember how it was explained that Hijiri’s powers worked in the main series it shouldn’t be too much of an issue to extrapolate that to how Arata’s powers work here, though if you don’t it’ll probably be somewhat confusing or feel kind of random. The romance also feels like some of the best so far, with strong relationship development with Lilith, Lieselotte, and Akio. Lilith and Lieselotte are the main heroines in the film and in turn get a lot of good scenes with Arata that naturally move their relationship forward. There’s not really any character development in either of those two, but Arata does go through some noticeable character growth at the end due to his bond with Lilith who also has some strong character development. The situation with Akio is more complex, in that Arata’s bond with Akio clearly does grow much stronger over the course of the film and she has some great moments, but it feels like there are things the film was clearly skipping or had already skipped before the start regarding that, and thus as it feels like some context is missing and thus her portions overall simply don’t land as well. There were also some minor issues with context missing on other characters, such as Lugh. Art and animation wise, it’s similar to the previous film, wherein it’s basically at about the level of the best parts from the main series but consistently. The soundtrack actually had new tracks though with a number of new good ones. It also brought back some good old tracks in somewhat unexpected ways, such as one of the EDs from the main series as an insert song. The credit roll song is also really great.
