Oh, a recap of the entire Goblin Slayer. Thank Jesus, I completely forgot that one thing that ever happens in it. You know that thing? The one that is literally THE NAME of this damn series? Yeah, thanks for reminding me. Know that meme about the Norwegian murderer? "Why am I here again? Oh yeah, the murders." "What was Goblin Slayer all about again? Oh yeah, he slays them, fucking right." Here's the recap: Naked girls. Cow tits. Slaying a goblin. Slaying 9000 more goblins. Edgy intensifies. Rape and people die. "Typical mistake for amateurs." Girl: fuck he is amazing Guy: fuck he is amazing Videogamedunkey: fuck heis amazing Me *in very deep thoughts and utterly focused on the recap* : If I add a D in goblin, it becomes GoBlind. i.e. It's boring. That's pretty much everything. The main difference is how it's just 10 times shorter and worse than the original. I don't think any in-depth analysis is required to explain how good of an idea 10 = 1 is, so I will give this a 1/10 just to not follow this math. *This review is a repost, removed originally because of my earlier 10/10 score was "in contradiction" with the review itself, should be fine now*

Unless you somehow forgot the key events that have happened in the first 10 episodes, dont waste your time watching this, you won't miss a single frame of additional content or anything like that, this special is just a shitty compilation of stuff you've already seen and nothing more :D After such a cliffhanger at the end of episode 10, having the follow up episode (when you only have 2 more scheduled episodes) be a recap really was deflating and a let down. As to the actual series itself (since there really aint much to review in the special), if the dark themes are too much foryou, thats cool, dont watch it, just dont be rude to the people who do. If you dont mind the dark themes, thats cool too, watch it, for me, the dark themes have really established a sense of peril in the series, and it makes the stakes seem really high in every encounter, and makes for quite intense viewing in some scenes, but likewise, dont be rude to the people who dont like it. :D

Well, I can hardly find how it would be possible to forget what happened in the previous 10 episodes, but still. They really made a recap episode, to sum up what previously happened. They focused on how GS became... himself, then the meeting with the 3 others (no introduction of the Priestess at all). Finally, we get to watch the Water Town events (without Sword Maiden's apparition, argh) and they left us at the end of Episode 10. So far a non-necessary episode, which acts as a break before the very awaited Globlin Lord arc. Anyway, it just delayed the next episode and increases the hype! Now we can only expect that they give the show a powerful and bloody animation, 'cause it has to be !

That view of the pink-haired girl’s naked body is unreal. White Fox Studio deserves an award and an obligatory wank from each person who watches this show. I’ll give you a moment if you’re still not finished……. …………………………………..**looks at watch**……………………**later realizes that he does not own a watch**……………… Due to the roaring success of Goblin Slayer, it prompted the producers to encapsulate the best elements of the series in a concise package for viewer’s who were not previously aware of the Goblin Slayer’s exploits, to catch up on all of the hype that surrounds this triumphant achievement. For the regulars, it serves as averitable highlight reel to heighten the anticipation before the final two episodes. Numerous viewers associate recap episodes with tedious affairs, but let me tell you something: they are not. They are essential in reviewing the main plot points, as well as showcasing the awesome talents of the Goblin Slayer. One cannot understand how adept the Goblin Slayer is at slaying goblins, until they watch a recap of Goblin Slayer slaying the same goblins. Certifiable fact. Let’s be honest, though: this recap suffered from an abundance of dialogue and not enough goblin slaying. I was expecting, at least, 80% of the episode to consist of goblin curb-stomping, but this simply was not the case. Don’t get it twisted, this recap had some wonderful moments of the Goblin Slayer slicing and dicing; smashing and bashing; chop-choping and molly-wopping; torching and scorching; and….I’m outta sublime rhymes, just watch this Goblin Slayer recap during your Christmas gift wrap. Final thoughts… The dark, murky artwork captures the essence of the ruthless goblins, instilling a level of fear and trepidation that feels palpable. The OP hits the right tone of being somber, yet energetic and vivacious. Even the naysayers must admit to themselves (in the dark recesses of their mind) that the awesomeness of the Goblin Slayer cannot be denied. In time, they will learn, just as the adventurers in Goblin Slayer will learn the significance of killing goblins — the most essential job there is to prevent ceaseless rape and crime. Is that what you want?…Cause that’s what you’ll get without the Goblin Slayer. “Now, where are the Goblins?” — Goblin Slayer

Don't waste your time. Do people really need a recap of the series? If they do, this is still a terrible recap of the series as a whole. It starts off well enough with the introduction and backstory of the protagonist, but then it gets a bit messy, skipping the introduction of the priestess and heading straight into the other members of the current party. It has poor transitions between parts and makes it seem like it's the full story, but cutting out some of the lesser parts, when in reality, it skips over a lot of stuff that should have been left in.I get that it's a recap and a majority has to be cut, but don't show the intro to an entirely different arc and then the ending of another. NOTE: This is strictly a review of the recap and not the actual series(which I quite like).
