The gist of my review is this: Give this a shot! I was very skeptical of the premise of this show. Firstly, is YET ANOTHER Nobunaga show? Second, the shtick is that they are dogs? thirdly, comedy is very hit or miss for translations.. leaning toward the miss in most cases. But, after one episode, I was left with a huge smile on my face and I was really surprised how much I enjoyed watching this show. First, it's not another Nobunaga show. I mean, it is, but not really. It never takes the Nobunaga thing seriously. It's thebutt of countless jokes and in all honesty most of them land really well even if you know nothing of Nobunaga. Second, yes, the shtick is dogs, but they really do a great job at delivering on the cute and funny. Thirdly, well.. like I said in the first and second points: It's funny. It might not be Anime of the year: the animation is middling at best and there is no real story progression, it's just "Hey these warlords are now dogs, isn't that funny?" and it is!

5 - There was something you enjoyed. Still a bit forgettable, but not a waste of time. It's a cute dog anime with ok comedy in it. Pretty much it? The drawback on this is that the jokes weren't great. I don't remember one time I really laughed. It's adorable, and nice to watch. But it's not hillarious, and for a comedy anime that really hurts. Firstly, it's hard for a comedy anime to be great in my opinion. The jokes and situations have to be really out there- especially in a 12 episode series. It has to come out hitting from episode 1, and it doesn't. Ido enjoy and appreciate the idea behind this anime. It's interesting. It's easy to explain. And man, the ED to this anime is AMAZING. It's so cute watching the real life version of the anime dogs just playing around, running. But that's the extent to this anime- it's cute. That's about it. I can't really see in which situation I'd want to watch this. Lazy sunday? It would have to be dubbed for me to watch on a lazy Sunday. Probably background anime while I'm doing something else such as gaming or scrolling through social media. This anime was ok. I don't regret watching it. Just don't see myself thinking back on this.

To start off, its a fun anime! Its light hearted, cute as hell, and its an anime to definitely relax to. The premise is basically warlords from feudal Japan that have long since been deceased have been reborn into a variety of animals. But mostly dogs. All of them have long since settled into their new lives well considering they all have owners who spoil them to one degree or the other. And considering how rough their old lives could be its no wonder they fell into this one so well! Consider having a harem of 20 and all the drama that comes with it! And alsothe war, can't forget the war. Its a fun anime, nothing serious in the lightest, and it honestly didn't teach me that much in the long run. Its just a warm slice of life that can make you feel a bit better after a bad day. And me being me I needed this many many a time! Plus the after credit endings include actual dogs! PUPPERS!!! Its really cute so I'd advise on either skipping the credits (which...at least watch it once bc those RL dogs are in it) or enjoying the credits with the end scene. <3

This anime is fun and light-hearted. But sadly it did not pull me into the fullest This anime is about Japanese warlords who were reincarnated as dogs. It is a very cool concept, but they did nothing with it. There was no story to follow, it was just the warlords going about their day as dogs. I would have enjoyed it so much more if there was a story, but they wasted this idea on just funny shenanigans. But I did enjoy the little stories from time to time, there were some episodes that I found so funny, but then others where I would sit onmy phone and not pay attention. The thing that I loved the most in this anime, where the opening and ending songs. The songs were amazing and they were paired with great visuals. But that's it. I love dogs, but I didn't love this anime 6/10

Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga, another twist on the historic samurai era figure Oda Nobunaga. Oda Nobunaga finds himself at a crossroads reaching closer to death when he wishes he'd be reincarnated as a dog in his next life. unbeknownst to the great leader, he finds himself in the body of a shiba (dog) named Cinnamon belonging to Ichiko Oda of modern Japan. As he gets accustomed to the laid back lifestyle of dog parks, long walks, dog treats and the like, he discovers a massive twist of fate - His trusty retainers and fellow warlords alike also take the form of dogs in their new lives. What does Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga have in store for us? Story & Characters: 5/10 The story is laid back with no major end goal or restrictive convictions that are tied to any of the characters; This series takes more of an episodic-lifestyle approach where we experience the life of a warlord-dog. That is to say that there is no story at all; The story is fragmented and shown to us in the way of flashbacks, where we get historic lessons between dog gag humor. Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga has a playful and comic narrative that builds in relation to the characters; The characters being the main focus here. Art & Sound: 5/10 The art and animation are good quality by modern standards. The absurd visual art styles and pop up animations help with comic effect and the drastic change of art styles emphasize an intense shift in moods. The dog designs are rather good quality with animation and art style in mind - The proportions are consistent whenever they are in scenes with movement. The sound isn't anything extraordinary. The Music in the opening was very catchy though; Beyond that there wasn't anything memorable or noticeably different that was taken with this series in terms of audio. Overall & Enjoyment: 5/10 Although it was funny and wholesome at times, Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga felt a bit dragged out with its comedy. The comedy would be a slow burner that got repetitive after episode 3. I did enjoy the fact that each episode changed the scenery or characters to stay fresh but it still lacked a lot in terms of characters and activities. Overall, it was a decent fun watch with nothing serious going for it in terms of narrative structure.
