Smile Down the Runway
ランウェイで笑って
Being the daughter of a modeling agency owner, Chiyuki Fujito aspires to represent her father's agency in the prestigious Paris Fashion Week, shining under the spotlight as a runway model. However, although she is equipped with great looks and talent, she unfortunately lacks a key element in becoming a successful model—height. Stuck at 158 cm even after entering high school, her childhood dream seems out of reach. Meanwhile, Ikuto Tsumura is a high school student with a knack in designing clothes; however, without the resources to pursue the necessary education, his ambition of becoming a fashion designer remains a mere dream. But as fate brings Chiyuki and Ikuto together, the dim hopes within their hearts are ignited once again. Together, the two promise to rebel against convention and carve out their own paths in the fashion world. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Fujito Chiyuki is a girl who has ideals as the international model. Chiyuki grow with unworthy of receiving your love better within the model or outside the model, but the growth Chiyuki when a teenager starts stops. The dream of becoming a model has vanished. It makes Chiyuki slumped and desperate to her dream, but one day his meeting with the Ikuto Tsumura change everything. Ikuto Tsumura is a teen age with Chiyuki, Ikuto have the dream to become a fashion designer. The two of them work together to realize their dreams respectively. See some of the synopses out there that promise to make me interestedwith this anime but anime what is this, destroyed once. Indeed the first episode of the submission of this anime is already good, the purpose of the model and the requirements to enter the world of models is already delivered with the well and make me understand a little how hard the world of modeling, so I thought after watching the first episode but after watching further, I wonder why it's so boring. They cut the scene did not hesitate and time scene seriously even seem bland, but the story is good. Do not well in the same mind if the anime model-the model is not great but the focus to the MC, who is a genius but still blunt and heroine of his disabilities make as a model is really heavy for chasing ideals. In the adaptation of the manga, I thought this would be a great spectacle because the studio does not need to think at length about the picture to the anime, usually adapt the anime derived from light novel which means they still have to think how to unite a word-the word becomes the object of the video, as for the manga they save thinking initially in the form of drawings and writings must now be converted into video objects. Graphic design is good the effect of the light is very fitting nothing too shining, or otherwise. The staging of the design of the model and the clothes worn model is very unique and nice, they are very totality in drawing a design of clothes. The opening theme is very nice I very like when the singer says "watashi wo waraitobashita kage wo" ahhh.... I think this must be the "Runway de Waratte" come on, this is about signature of many anime. Somehow, I'm not familiar with voice actors (Seiyuu) Natsuki Hanae, last season Kimetsu no Yaiba to be in the spotlight and "Natsuki Hanae" is becoming increasingly famous, I also really like when they say "Don't Give up" somehow that voice is always ringing in my head. For this part I really like and they are the totality of about this, I think this section can cover the part of the story that I think the hiatus. Excess and Deficiency (May contain some spoilers) I think I'm very fond of parts of the sound compared to the story, although the story is not that bad but a lot of some scenes which I think is bland in fact I think such a scene should be suspenseful. In addition to it I think the advantages possessed by this anime is a good quality video, I can't talk much about this, I think you should watch some video trailer and judge whether the quality of the video is good or not. I'm very fond of this spectacle, it can't be denied of the many anime that aired this season may this be a selah one of the best. It's a shame this only got adaptation as many as 12 episodes only. Overall this anime deserves to be watched but also not that good, for the size of the anime season one maybe this can touch the value of 8 from me.

Smile Down The Runway, Will actually make you smile Let me tell you that having a dream is not something that you should easily give up on and Runway de Waratte made the statement very clear This is one of the Animes that went under the radar, I'll try to make SPOILER FREE as possible. The Anime starts of pretty straight forward story, lovable characters, and brilliant drama. The way the author planned the whole story and plot twists was surprising fits the concept but they missed a few concepts to actually make sense. Story line : To start off the first episode Chiyaki Fujito a daughter of afledgling Modeling Agency, Mille Neige and had a dream to become a hypermodel but due to her height 158cm (5'2) she was heavily discriminated to give up of her dream, the anime creates this path that it will make the watcher to be emotionally attached to her and to see her own perspective. And not just her Ikuto Tsumura is Chiyuki's classmate. also has a dream of becoming a fashion designer but due to his financial problems he was left a choice whether he will choose to work or to go to college. all to the very end they stick to the story line that both of them will eventually reach their dreams but with a lot of unexpected twists and turns and how they actually fit to the story very perfectly and that what made me enjoy this anime very much together with laughs and teary moments. Animation: The animation arent that very flashy but remember that this is a fashion anime they focus on the clothes the coloring of every scene are well made to brighten the mood of the characters, it carefully adds details to how the models walk or even without a runway they still manage to keep a clear intention that they're brightening how the characters move and carry themselves together with their outfits. Sounds: For me the most sound catching is when the models walk in sync with the music making a harmony. but overall the Opening song "Lion" stood out for me the most how there is a deeper meaning into it. most of the sounds are used in the scenes where they have to model the clothes. Enjoyment: I very much enjoyed this anime due to the fact the story line was straight forward making me comfortable at the very least or so i hoped it to be there are a lot of plot twists that were made and ideally suited the anime and i loved that. Other than the laughs there's the drama part where you will understand the circumstances of the character or the emotional state of every character especially in this arc of Tsumura, Ikuto whos which doesnt have enough choices to choose from due to financial problems and priorities. SUMMARY: Overall if you don't want to hear me and my grammar-less sentences i'd recommend this to anyone who is in it for the drama and who is not easily disturbed by people who discriminates them The anime shows DETERMINATION and from my experiences its very important most people in life are too negative about themselves learn to help or learn to ask help and even be contented to the things around you The story itself is what it brought me to loving it because it'll make the watcher easily expect nothing resulting to unexpected twists Great sound track choices to accompany the fashion show during presentations Animation focuses on clothes color changing aspects and together with special made walk stances together with fashionable clothes even in day to day life in the anime. Thanky you for reading and i hoped i changed some of the people reading this into watching the anime. this anime is split into 2 arcs the first season is focused on Tsumura, Ikuto the one whos dream to become a fashion designer

Give this show a watch. This was one of my hmm maybe shows but it really proved itself with the first episode. Even if you don't like "Fashion stuff" This anime is catered to you it gives a wonderful perspective into this world and some of the "people" in it. It is formatted kinda like a sports anime where you got the training, backstories, heart breaks, and the finale at the end then also the set up for a second season. This show gives off the same energy that Welcome to the ballroom did and it came fighting. This show really needs a 2ndseason.

Everyone's favorite wholesome playboy Tanjiro takes break from seducing demon slayer gals to charming fashion designers and models by providing emotional support and encouragement then they really need it . Say what you want about him but he sure knows his way around women. Jokes aside Smile down the runway is about talented but poor designer and a short model and their journey of becoming successful in their careers. Show does a good job of portraying its characters' desires , ambitions , regrets and accomplishments while presented with pretty animation and designs with some sprinkles of comedy. So why do ithink this show is only worth 6? Well while whatever show does, it doesn't do it poorly , I don't thing it does anything exceptionally well either . Whole 'Poor but talented protagonist who has ill family member who has been in hospital for long time' is so common and even overused, there could be a template where you only need to fill in character names and rest of story is written for you. So it would be more of surprising if show messed up such refined formula. What this means, all in all story is not really interesting. If you are some one who is new to anime it might not be that big of an issue but for me, I knew how whole show would turn up out early as episode 3. It could say subverted my expectations of what it was going to be but it never does, overall predictability of the plot ruins any sense of tension or excitement a viewer might have. Regarding animation its more or less the same. Its clothes and characters are drawn well and you have some money shots, but I was never taken away or impressed by it I can't really recall any scenes if you were to ask me to and i watched this was 2 days ago. It is bit unfair to criticize the animation, it never hampered the show and it pulled its weight, but then overall story is not interesting enough to justify watching the show, you try to find other aspects of show which are worth watching the show for but unfortunately animation isn't one of them. Overall music was pretty good I did find Opening and ending songs fun to listen to and in between tracks which accompany the show do a good job setting the mood and conveying the emotions characters are experiencing. On final note Run down the run way has alot of same vibes as Welcome to the Ballroom but what ballroom did well but this show failed to do was get me interested into a subject. I won't pretend after watching Wellcome to the Ballroom I went started watching ballroom competitions butnether the less the show managed to convey rare and bit unusual topic in a interesting and entertaining way so that even some one like me, who never had any interest in ballroom dances, enjoyed it. Meanwhile Smile down the runway failed to awoke same type of interests in modeling, clothes designing and creating. Maybe if it focused on those topics more intricately by closely following design process or was more informative and technical with sewing and different techniques associated with it, but as it is whole fashion and modeling seemed more like a surface level reskin to make it look like show was unique and interesting then in reality it was very cliche story. As a summary I fail to see why I would recommend this show to anyone, it doesn't do anything interesting with topic its covering nor does anything new with 'poor guy big dream' trope. At one point I was thinking maybe it is aimed at female demographic but problem with that is that, show focuses very little on heroine compared to protagonists, not to mention most fan service features the heroine; its pretty clear who show tries to appeal to then it has a shot of Chiyuki doing a split in pink underwear while wearing red stiletto heels.

I never had a dream I wanted to accomplish. I was born, raised in perfect conditions and will continue to move forward without a final destination. However, upon watching "Runway de Waratte" I couldn't help myself but think that accomplishing a dear dream of yours should really be wonderful. Yes, it won't be easy, but I truly think the best thing is to at least try and if you fail, you should look at the sky and say - Damn, what a journey that was, I should follow up on it. (I would definitely do this exact way if it ever happened to me). "Runway deWaratte" presents the kind of situation when characters have a dream and they genuinely care about it but the way forward is absurdly hard that at any given time they can fail as for the world's ruthless. The way it's displayed is phenomenal which shows how difficult it is to get anything. "Runway de Waratte" is very simple to understand, but to fully understand it you must first understand the characters struggles. You should put yourself in their place and suffer as much as they have. Only in this way will you be able to understand and piece everything together to how great this anime really is. Did I do it too? Yes, and let me tell you something, it's absurdly sad. It's more I would have thought. Whenever I saw someone cry in this anime, a piece of me died along with them. I was suffering for them as well. The anime is about fashion, and I'll be completely honest with you, I never cared about. I've seen some videos here and there about it, but it's not just my type of cum, but when an anime takes that and goes to the next level I'll just say that I'll get hooked up and I did. Even though the characters were the center of attention, I was quite interested on that to the point I was trying to learn how the whole thing worked and at the end of the day, you need to be good at that to have a minimum chance on getting the fame one is looking for. "Runway de Waratte" would be described in one word "rejection". Everyone gets rejected on something and I also have come to understand that in addition to hard work you have to be a little lucky. Without that you won't be going too far on anything. "Rejection" in a sense you won't be receiving anything at first but after a hard-ass work that ultimately would fail. The characters in "Runway de Waratte" are the best part of the anime. I wouldn't have liked the show as much as I do without them in it because lemme tell you something, I like them. Even the most douchebag ones are somewhat likable because I can feel their strugglest as well. I can sense the sadness they have experienced throughout their life. The story is awesomely great even though the amount of cliches might ruin a lot of people's enjoyment. Almost half of the anime is comedy and because it is one of those types of comedies it might turn off tons of people but I think it works pretty well for this kind of stories. It would have been better if it had been reduced but I myself didn't mind. As for the technical sector, no excellence, but not even a serious lack, to be clarified. The character design is amazing: the only flaw are the body proportions which sometimes it feels like seeing a body of 6.5 feel tall person and I didn't mind that because it's anime and hell but hell, they're really tall. Even the protagonist who appears to be short (according to others) is extremely tall when on screen. "Runway de Waratte" is one of my favorite anime i've seen in my life and I'll continue to repeat this for years to come. Chiyuki must be protected at any cost.
