Not Recommended

Move along folks! Nothing to see here. Due to the coronavirus outbreak in China, production had to be delayed, and it's completely understandable that a recap episode would be on the table. Nobody should complain about that. It's a global health crisis. But there's also no need to watch this episode. There's no original content besides a few voiceover lines that add zero additional information. So, for viewers in the future who wonder about the value of this "special" episode, just don't bother. It's not going to tell you anything new and there was no effort made to add original content. The production committee or studiocould have added some content by using the seiyuus more and writing some original dialogue, but no. It's strictly a cut-and-paste job. Ignore this.

Hello folks! Hope when this corona virus outbreak that still occurs you guys still in healthy shape or even if you catch one you will be healthy in no time! Koisuru Asteroid is slice of life anime that put two of the science type geology and astronomy clubs together as earth science club because of some circumstances. When this recap out, it doesn't come right because when slice of life anime gets recap it's very unusual to do so. Therefore, when you do want to see the anime but doesn't bother to watch 3 of the episodes*, this recap will make you decide to watchor not, while it doesn't seems right at the time it will help you to decide to watch it or not when you discover the title at later date. This recap put me on interest when watching (because it's unnusual for slice of life). But I must say that this recap has almost every point in every first half of the episodes (first of six episodes) that done the job well to inform the new people that discover the title at later date. Mixed Feelings

Before beginning the review, let me clarify that I'll be reviewing this special episode as a Recap episode as this one is. In a recap episode what matters most is how well they summarised the story. →Are all the major events covered? →Whether the story is smooth or glitchy? →How apt is the background sound & narration? Basically to sum up, its more about enjoyment factor rather character development & artwork. I personally find this recap episode to be a disaster. No doubt they covered every major event but what lacked was a smooth story transition. It felt like watching a one event after another without asense of story. They tried to link the scenes via adding narration but damn the narrations were horrible. (Referring to the English Sub version) The bad part of the narration was not just the narration style (Narrators'point of view) but also the fact that narration overlapped the original dialogues playing in background in the scenes. They didn't bother editing the same properly. It was a mess. Background sound effects, though were same as original series, but didn't do well in this special. This special felt more like made by a fan having barely workable video editing skills rather than the animation studio itself. I would recommend watching this special only to those who wish to learn what not to do while making a recap episode. For a rational anime fan this is just a disaster nothing more than that.
