Chuukou Ikkan!! Kimetsu Gakuen Monogatari: Valentine-hen

Ah, Valentine's Day, the worst day to be single. Demon Slayer just released this 4 episode special to celebrate Valentine's Day, featuring the main cast of characters in a school setting as they're put through different scenarios. This special is quite basic and is nothing special, it's just more Demon Slayer for those wanting more of the series. There isn't much to say about the production values as Ufotable probably knocked this out in a couple of weeks of production. The artwork is chibi-like and there isn't much movement or fluidity in the animation. There were some enjoyable parts, but nothing else impressive. You can easily finish thisin 10 minutes or so, so you won't lose anything by watching this. 6/10.

*Spoiler warning!* Just like the movie "Fireworks" this was a let down. To start, we didn't see many characters. (Shinobu, Kanao, NEZUKO, etc) Also, the 4 episodes were like 2:50 each, which is like super short.. The "plot" of the show was bare minimum, also don't get me started on the fact that there was like 1 whole minute of valentines day.. Art style is Chibi, it's pretty adorable, and of course it's the same as the the normal Kimetsu Gakuen that comes after certain episodes of the main series. The subtitles were horrible though. Whoever made those needs to be fired. There was some timeswhen there were literal CUSS WORDS!! I mean I'm kinda happy we gotta see Kanae speaking of the fact in the regular series she is *D e a d* but honestly I woulda rather seen Shinobu or something. So yea, a pretty big let down in my opinion. 4/10 for me.. Coulda been worse, but coulda been WAYY better! :)

The valentine's edition of kimetsu academy is a short ONA that is centered around Zenitsu. Its story is very simple and it revolves around Zenitsu going to teachers to ask for advice on how to be popular. The problem I have with this ONA is that Zentisu is the most important character. As a side character he's tolerable but he has quite a big role in the ONA and acts pretty obnoxiously. Aside from Zentisu all other characters are okay and fun enough to watch. The voice acting is good but the animation isn't great with all characters being chibi characters. Overall your enjoyment ofthis ONA will greatly depend on whether you like Zenitsu. If you dislike him as a character, you'll dislike this ONA. If you don't mind him or like him, then this ONA can be fun to watch since the story suits him and is interesting enough.
