Bad adaptation or bad story? So the second part to season 2 of Misfit of Demon King Academy finished and I´m a bit disappointed to say the least. This is without a doubt the worst part of the entire series and is because of the poor adaptation done by Silver Link. They may not be the best studio out there but they aren´t the worst. So far in this part there are quite a lot of layers to the story that are badly adapted and is what makes it confusing to understand. Thankfully before CR removed comments I was able to understand what was going onfrom the commnents of LN readers, since there were a lot of things that weren´t explained properly or that were just skipped all together. The one thing I can say with certanty is "He is Anos and he will beat you!" The animation did take a dive in this part by the use of CGI to create the dragons and some of the fights scenes didn´t look as good as they did in previous parts. The soundtrack is ok and in the same level compared to the other parts. What stood out the most was the OP and what a banger it is in my opinion along with nice animations and cut-scenes. The characters have been getting the developments they needed such as the relationship between Lay and Misa/Avos. As well as the highlight of the season... Emilia! From "Made to be hated" to "Support at all costs" Big W in my opinion. The comedy is still golden, from the Demon King of Tyrrany to shooting Love beams with his BFF, it´s hilarious!!! I know adapting a story from a LN is considerably more difficult compared to one from a Manga, however there needs to be a change in the studio, whether that´s the team behind it, the director or just change the studio itself if there´s ever going to be another season (which I hope it get´s one). Overall I think there´s a good story to be adapted specially since towards the end of this part we´ve seen Ano´s supposed father, which leads to the next arc!!. It´s a shame the adaptation doesn´t live up to the LN, however even though of this lackluster part I still really like and enjoy watching Misfit of Demon King academy. How I rank (This is just my opinion): (Inspired by Huang-Teizan) 10 - Bendicion de Dios 9 - Now this is Peak!! 8 - Bingeworthy! 7 - Good 6 - Enjoyable 5 - Either Echii or just enough to get by 4 - I´m just here to know how it ends. 3 - "Are you related to Rent a Girlfriend?" 2 - Que cojones 1 - My head doesn´t explode because it can´t. 0 - "Even a Hentai has a better story than you!"

Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha II (Part 2) - Silver Link, just stop. Nothing that you do will ever restore the series to its former glory. Let's not sugarcoat this show, shall we? Novelist Shu's Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha is actually a decent series. However, the anime enters in a literal exercise in frustration in trying to flesh out the bigger sum of the picture: the Selection Judgement, in its many arcs, being a larger-than-life story than the easy-going Season 1, which was very straightforward and simple to digest. Make no mistake, it's not the anime's fault for going into a rather complicated plot with Season 2,it's written that way to begin with, that if you ask me, no amount of anime or movie-length shows (a la Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon Slayer) style is EVER enough to understand what the hell's going on. With Part 2 covering Volumes 5 and 6 of the LN, I'd be very surprised if the anime adaptation was ever the sole cause to blame for all the mismanagement that's borne from Aniplex trying to push more of the "greatness" that is the Misfit of Demon King Academy. Of course, Anos the VoldiGOAT continues to flex his misfit powers against all that tries to obliterate him and his purpose of throwing kingdoms and empires on their toes, he's literately the sole influence of his followers since the very beginning, and the series WILL make sure that amidst all of the jumbled mess of content, Anos is still king, and any problem is instantaneously wiped off with the swagger and lifting of his hands. Sadly, just when I want to hope that Part 2 will be an improvement over last Winter's rather miserable quality amidst a rather convoluted story for Part 1 of Season 2, this season is even worse, and it rubs it in your face that it's a show that has not just clearly lost its luster, but of any quality and substance that's left to tell. The decision to go full-on 3DCG for action scenes (especially the dragons), it's not just NOT executed well, but why do the animators even care at this point when it has already fallen off so badly and given the lesser care of its other currently focused "sibling" of Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen a.k.a Mission: Yozakura Family, which is at least on par with what Silver Link has done on the production side, if they ever cared to begin with. Simply put, what we got here with Part 2 was a story that is already barely on the brink of understanding since Part 1, with character writing so obnoxious that Anos can just carry the show by himself, coupled with rather bad (to the tandem line of horrible) animation, and an OP/ED pairing that just...frankly, sucks. I genuinely have sympathy for the animators who feel like they shot themselves on the foot trying to bring Shu's story to life, but it's just the simple matter of complications that slowly, but surely, overwhelm the anime, and rightfully so that audience retention rates continue to dwindle. Stop, just stop, and get some help. The suffering for Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha a.k.a The Misfit of Demon King Academy, ENDS NOW, for a fall from grace that hits harder than thou of its offerings that hast gone away for good.

Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha II: Shijou Saikyou no Maou no Shiso, Tensei shite Shison-tachi no Gakkou e Kayou Part 2 (2024) Honestly, the show gets thinner and thinner as it goes. The first season had some depth to it with the hardships but it has gradually just gotten to a point where everyone is so damn powerful on the Anos side that they may as well just take over the world. They are unstoppable with insane power. Some shows have 1 character or a few in a class with people that can fight them but not this anymore. The story is pointless, no matter how deepit gets Anos and his crew will walk through it with no issues outside of emotional moments of crying then happiness 10 seconds later. The art is not bad; it has kept with its original art, which is great, but nothing has really improved. Some shows are great for keeping the art so similar but this one feels like it is just a bit meh now. The sound has gotten a bit flatter as the show has gone on. I was hoping for explosions for example to have an echo or a boom but no. The characters are boring now, for me. Anos has such incredible power that he is better than everyone in every way but also talks you to death about it. The main girls Sasha and Misha are just so incredibly powerful that they don't have to try anymore. All of them to be honest just either have insane power or stand in awe of the group. It just is pretty boring, you can fight a god with thousands of years of experience, feared by many of great power and 2 minutes later they are defeated and switching sides or go away in shame. This has happened before but at least they put up a fight that was worth it. What was the point of them, if not only the main character but his crew could do that. The weaker members of the choir as I think of them, suddenly have mysterious backgrounds or abilities popping up. You have attempts at romance that are overshadowed by cringey fights to prove love. It is just too much in too little time. For me the show is dead, it is gone from a reasonable watch where I gave it an 8 then a 7 and now honestly I cannot find any reason to go above a generous 3. The show is flashy, trying to do too much all at once whilst making everyone in the main cast the main character. If it continues like this then the world will just cease to function surely. 3/10. I'm done.

I really liked the first season of The Misfit of Demon King Academy, and I also thought the first part of the second season was great, though difficult to follow. However, the second part of this second season was a catastrophe. I honestly don't understand how this second part is related to the ending of the first part, not how it is related to the beginning of its second part. The second part of the second season of The Misfit of Demon King Academy was really difficult to understand. A lot of concepts were introduced, but those concept were never really explained, so I alwayswatched the episodes without truly understanding everything, which is a bit frustrating. The ideas and concepts would be great I think if they were actually developed correctly. Unfortunately, I don't understand what this season was made for. I don't understand how it is related to anything we've seen before and moreover I don't find any usefulness to the story told in this part. I think the first season and the first part of season 2 are worth watching, but watching part 2 of season 2 or not will not change anything, one could as well just stop after part 1 of season 2 as I found no answers to the ending of part 1. Or maybe it was just so badly done that I did not understand anything. That said, Anos is still as cool, I like how he's a Demon King that is actually nice. I used to like the relationship between the different characters in the previous seasons but I thought it felt a bit empty this time around. I almost dropped this season halfway but wanted to see what would happen to the characters as I kind of grew attached to them, but honestly the ending is a but forgetful. I'm writing this review a week or two after watching the last episodes and if you asked me how it ended, I'd be unable to tell you.

The Misfit of Demon King Academy is a really specific kind for me. I find this anime so intriguing as it is so low budget, has so many elements that should automatically categorize it as a below mediocre, ,,one of many" cliche isekai title, but at the same time it has something significant in itself. Third season of the series strengthens those views, as I once again found myself pretty immersed in the story of the next arc of Misfit. This ,,something significant" I had mentioned above contains two factors, which are the main character - Anos, and general plot of the series. In the thirdpart of Misfit we once again see Anos as a cool Demon Lord who just one shots everybody in a so cool way. Also, we receive a really complex and an interesting plot. We finally get informations about a past of main cast of the series: Anos himself, Sasha and Misha. There is also a representation of a new character - goddes Arcana who stimulates this development. Anos once again plays a great part of being father to everyone, having no regrets in his actions and always finding right words at the right time to tutor everybody how to improve and find their true indentity in difficult circumstances. In Misfit anime japanese popculture manages to prove how good it actually is in displaying such role models in their own, original way. I mean, Misfit does not belong to a spectrum of most original series - it is, in a way, your next typical isekai anime with an overpowered main character. However this character is genuinely well written, but in a specific way as well. There is no such complex personality development like in top mal series like Aot when we have Eren or Violet Evergarden with its main heroine, but here we get to see a perfect realisation of a characteristic japanese model of the overpowered isekai-type Demon Lord(who is just cluessly OP) with a mature addition of his exemplary, father-like behavior. As the strongest, he is also the most knowledgeable. Everyone can simply count on him. He makes the real difference wherever he appears and manages to change people entirely. The example we receive in the third season of this Anime is of course Emilia. After fighting with them risking her life, from a conservant, short-sighted ariscotrat type heroine she becomes a modeling figure for humans . That is of course simple, but I do not demand anything more from this series really. Background characters are not its strong asset at all since an essence of the show always has been its main character and a plot based mainly on him, through which we can watch a development of HIM. I understand it clearly and am satisfied with what went on this season. In the third season of Misfit a background got set up. That is the background for revealing the past behind Anos, Sasha and Misha. We will also learn more about Lay and the world of Misfit in general. Honestly, I feel like this Anime can truly shock us with a plot quality that has to be shown soon. The plot of the series is its big asset, and it surely will achieve its peak next season. Screenwriters surely rushed alot this time, but it is understandable as the Misfit's plot is complex and ambitious plus it is originally presented in the LN(that means much and much more of a place for development with a writing - the animation on the other hand has on its side only 12-13 times of 20 minute episodes of the season which is a whole different environement). Still, I am just positively surprised and grateful at the same time that Silver Link cares so deeply about this one and continued it up until now. The Misfit of Demon King Academy being made by this studio manages to connect a low budget horrible animation(it really hits you with dragons displayed in this season by the way, but it is still fine for a fan like me) with some great piece of a commedy(an interpretation of love in this season or a Ku-ikku ,,psalm" in second part of the season) and an advanced plot. Just add to that the LN author's maturity and the innovation in the writing of his and then you get a result which is the Misfit. Just Misfit; irreplaceable - truly one of a kind for me.
