I generally like this series quite a bit, but the first season was definitely better than the second. Both have a sort of feel good type of vibe. However, the pacing/progress in the second season is really too slow. I personally do like the business component, but it needs more progress/development. Also, Ryoma is slightly too insecure for someone that has insane skills and success. I do hope there will be a season 3, with further exploration of slimes, adventure and business at a higher pace. I dont mind Elia eps as long as it doesnt detract from the pace of the main story.

Awful, generic, and extremely poorly made. The first season even presented a premise that could be considered minimally interesting. The central idea had some potential and, initially, it seemed that the work could follow at least a reasonable path within the genre. However, even back then, it was possible to notice several problems in the execution and continuity of the narrative. The difference is that, at that moment, the so-called "novelty effect" still masked some of these flaws. Now, in the second season, this factor has simply disappeared. Without this small initial advantage, it becomes even more evident how weak, lazy, and poorly constructed this sequelis. The animation, for example, is a complete disaster. The visual style seems to have been taken directly from generic Isekai anime from the early 2010s, something that sounds extremely outdated today. There is a lack of fluidity in the movements, the action scenes are rigid, and the direction seems incapable of creating any kind of dynamism. Furthermore, the visual simplification is evident: environments lacking detail, empty settings, and an absurd number of static frames that leave many scenes looking almost still. At several points, it seems more like a presentation of still images than an actual animated production. It's simply an extremely weak and lazy visual execution. Unfortunately, the narrative manages to be even worse than the animation itself. The world presented in the work seems completely lifeless, weightless, and without any sense of danger or relevance. It's an artificial universe, lacking narrative gravity and seemingly unable to function without the protagonist's presence. Everything revolves around him in such an exaggerated way that it destroys any sense of naturalness within the story. This absurd dependence completely weakens the world of the work. Simple problems are treated as impossible to solve without the protagonist's direct intervention. It's absurd to see characters unable to handle trivial situations without depending on him. This creates an extremely shallow narrative scenario, where the world has no autonomy, no real conflicts, and seems to exist only as a stage to exalt the protagonist. Another major problem is the lack of narrative impact. Nothing seems truly important, nothing conveys danger, tension, or consequence. Events simply pass by without generating any emotional or dramatic weight. This makes the experience tiresome and uninteresting, as there is no sense of significant progression. Furthermore, considering that the work revolves around slimes and belongs to the Isekai genre, it's practically impossible not to compare it to *That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime*. And it is precisely in this comparison that the flaws become even more evident. While that work manages to build a functional world, with minimally interesting political, social, and narrative development, Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko simply fails in almost all of these aspects. The result is a completely forgettable work, without narrative impact, without dramatic weight, and without any cinematic distinction. Another extremely uncomfortable point is the treatment of romance involving characters who are still children. The situation becomes particularly problematic when we remember that the protagonist, despite being in the body of a child, retains the memories of his past life, in which he was an elderly adult man. Even though the narrative tries to justify this by saying that his mind is being "infantilized," this explanation sounds more like an attempt to circumvent an extremely questionable narrative decision on the part of the author. Instead of solving the problem, this justification only highlights the discomfort that the situation generates. This type of narrative choice ends up further alienating the viewer, because it conveys the feeling that the work simply doesn't care about reflecting on the implications of what it is presenting. In the end, Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko 2nd Season is a work that fails in practically every possible aspect: weak animation, lazy direction, empty narrative, poorly constructed world, and questionable narrative decisions. It is a production without identity, without impact, and completely forgettable within a genre that already suffers from an excess of generic works. My final rating is 1/10. An extremely bad work, difficult to recommend from any perspective. A weak sequel to an anime that wasn't great to begin with. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

“By the Grace of the Gods” season 2 is what happens when an anime decides it has enough of being interesting and becomes an absolutely generic slob.. As this is a season 2 I don’t think I need to mention things that are covered in season 1 so I will just mention how this one stacks against its predecessor. Compared to season 1, which actually had some interesting and original ideas about Ryouma and his slimes, this season drops almost all of that in favor of becoming another bland, uninspired feel good jerk fest. I made fun of that in season 1 everyone tells the MCat least 2 times per episode how unique and awesome he is, well this time they at least double that amount. No matter what he does everyone is in awe, ready to worship the very ground he walks on and almost beg to suck his slime. It’s honestly exhausting. I gave shit to “The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash” for treating it’s MC as almost a damn oracle but this season turns that to 11. The literal gods of this world treat the kid like a miracle. Yes, they did that in season 1 too, but because he interacts with them less now it sticks out more. Of course we get served another bullshit logic, this time in the form of cars (not called cars but I refuse to watch this again to check the name) that are slow AF, and a music box that works on magic. Ok, I can see why a car would work on magic but a damn music box? They gave that box a crank that moves when the box plays and yet it works on magic. Despite music boxes having relatively simple mechanisms, and despite the fact that this world is shown to have cogs and other elements that would be more than enough to create a music box that doesn’t need magic. Unless someone is trying to tell me that a world that can build a car chassis and a music box isn’t capable of creating a damn spring. I have a strange feeling that the writer is really trying to make mechanical things magical, even if that makes no sense at all. I actually don’t mind the fact that there is less action this time around. I think the setup is rather adequate for creating something slower, relaxing and thought provoking. But that would require a writer that knows how to do it. This show was not blessed with such a person. So instead we are served a slow, boring, repetitive slice of life show that lost 90% of its charm. We see Ryouma expand his business, overwork himself (as always) and take on some jobs for the adventurer guild. The problem is, his new shop is treated like a side quest with little to no long term consequences, the jobs he takes are taken care of in just a few seconds with no problems (surprisingly, the show acts like one of those jobs is problematic but we see nothing of those problems. The whole party acts like they are in deep shit but Ryouma pulls out a solution out of his ass the next second and saves the day). If You thought that the last season had no stakes (it didn’t) this one is even worse at pretending to have them. Honestly? Just skip this. If you liked season one, don’t destroy your opinion on the IP by watching this one.

The first season introduced us a peaceful anime, a bit boring but the relation with Ryouma and the Duke's family was interesting This season is more meh. It's calm and peaceful but maybe a bit too much. I can't say it wasn't enjoyable to watch but I felt bored at some moments and I couldn't feel the MC has flaws, which makes it hard to empathize with him, even if he's nice. If a third season should be released in think I could watch it but I hope they will change some things in the history. Not to having a heavy and dramatic anime, it's notthis kind of anime. But something to make it a bit more spicy. Just a bit. Or to make him overcome difficulties

A decent anime overall (6 / 10) . The story is quite average, as far as isekai plots and tropes go. What makes the show interesting is the way that MC uses his newfound power, and the overall plot direction. If these were the only considerations, then the score should have been (8 / 10). Unfortunately, the way that MC speaks, and how dialog is handled really ruins the experience for me. The MC talks like the most formal robot to ever exist out there. Every single conversation becomes predictable from the moment it starts. MC treats every single person he interacts with like they executivemanagers of a top 500 company. All the "please" and "thank you" variations have been included in the show. Instead of actually reading the anime's dialogue, I'd rather attend one of those whole day meetings that companies host about random and entirely work unrelated environmental events twice a year. The dialogue flow in the anime is insanely stale and monotonous. If you can turn your brain off entirely while watching this however, then it'll be a true joy to experience.
