On first listen, it was an okay song. On second listen, it started to feel differently. On third listen, I got addicted. The melody and mixing with the vocals is definitely unique and stands out from the usual style of idol songs. I’m no musicologist, so for an actual analysis of what makes it different you’ll have to go to the forum section (I didn’t want to just straight out copypaste someone else’s paragraph into my review), but in layman’s terms, it’s a mix of multiple melodies, which I personally quite like when songs do, combined with a sort of off-beat synchronisation with the singing. Thevisuals are also nicely done, even if they sometimes borderline between animation and art showcase. It changes from tasteful moe to more trippy visuals, especially around the middle of the video where we get some curious effects. For a short video, there’s also surprising variation of artstyles. While you’re more likely to enjoy this if you’re already a Hololive fan, no knowledge about the vtuber scene is a requirement to be able to jam to this. I’d definitely recommend giving this few listens.

Let it be known my grade here isn't a reflection of how I felt about the song. I liked the song. But this isn't a grade for the song, it's a grade for the music video. And you know what, it wasn't much of a music video. It was just a bunch of surrealist imagery and Houshou Marine plastered over it. About as cheap as SpongeBob doing a bunch of walk cycles. It's the visual equivalent of inoffensive background noise, just sort of there and if you notice it good job, but you weren't supposed to notice it. It's just soemthing to fill the emptyspace so that you're not watching a static screen, like the visualizations on Winamp or Windows Media Player. Dang, remember Winamp. I'm old. 6/10

You know that a song is not your cup of tea when you're listening to it and trying to think of another song that could possibly be worse, and you come up empty. I thought of some of Kim Kardashian's music, I thought of Rebecca Black "It's Friday", I really thought of the bottom of the barrel that I've heard. Even Mumble rap. I could think of nothing. I'm sure this is not the worst song I've ever heard, but I just can't think of it right now. Which makes this, at least temporarily, the actual worst song I've ever heard. It's confusing, theinstrumentation in it is irritating and bizarre. I've never heard any kind of musical arrangement like I've heard here today. And that's probably for a reason. I can only describe the sound as some kind of "Jungle Electronica" mixed with K-Pop. The lyrics don't make much sense, either. I think she's singing about being chosen by a lover? But, it also seems like it's about sailing the seas as a pirate crew? I have no idea. The video itself is just a bunch of average animation and photo cut outs. It's comes off as a tribute anime done by a fan group. Which...is it? Is that what this is? Music is very subjective, so I may have hated this, but you might love it. It's only 4 minutes long, so it's not like it's a huge investment of time to check it out. It's just for me, when someone asks me what I think the worst song I've ever heard was, this is going to probably come up. But, on Youtube where I saw it, it has millions of views and hundreds of thousands of likes. So, people dig it. I just don't.

I'm honestly impressed that they released something this flat-out terrible and got away with it. The music was bad, but at least the rest of the video salvaged a lot of lewd anime pictures. A ton of other singers couldn't even survive if they made a flat out club hit cash grab that was this ridiculously. Then again, anime turned itself into an utter mockery at this point, since it is painting itself as just a cute anime girl with big boobs and sound like a chimp mock. Such garbage, a violent assault on my ear drums. I won't be surprised if the peoplein charge of One Piece music were involved.
