農民関連のスキルばっか上げてたら何故か強くなった。
Al Wayne's greatest goal is to become the best farmer he can be. With utmost effort, he reaches the apex of his farming skills and earns the title of a first-rate cultivator. Due to this achievement, Al gains a substantial upgrade to his stats which now eclipse even the strength of legendary heroes of old. Soon after discovering his potential, the royal family enlists his help against the rising number of disasters that coincidentally began right as his true power was awakened. Although reluctant, Al concedes that in order to protect his precious fields, he must do his best to keep all threats at bay. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I never write reviews. But given all the hate this anime received I decided to give my opinion, and a slightly higher score than I would have normally given (between 6 and 7), and gave it an 8. The show is a light hearted fantasy parody. It is an enjoyable watch if you want something easy going and somewhat fun to watch. The story is actually quite interesting. The character is well-rounded, dedicated, and kind hearted. He is OP but there is actually a plot related motive for it. Which is not only being an overtrained farmer. The acute spectator will understand the reason inthe last episode. So, if you are looking for a relaxing watch, and enjoy fantasy and parody genres, don’t read the negative comments and just give it a shot.

This is the worst garbage I have ever seen in my entire fucking life. Most of the time when I see an anime with low rating on MAL, it turns out that it's severely underrated. This is one of the rare instances where it's severely OVERRATED, despite how low the score seems to be. I would only recommend watching this if you feel like you're too smart and need to get a lot dumber for some reason, because each episode cost me half of my current braincells, and I forced myself to watch all 12, because silly me thought that it will maybe get betterlater on (spoiler alert: it won't). Now you may be asking: What makes it so bad? Let me explain. First of, the MC is an insufferable pussy ass bitch coward, but that doesn't matter, because he's also a Mary Sue character and has all the girls falling for him because he's done one insignificant thing for them (the worst kind of MC imo). Now you maybe saying to yourself: But that's kind of normal for many animes, isn't it? BOY if that was the only thing, sure. The powerscaling in this is non-existent. The dude becomes super OP in the first episode, like 100x stronger than so-called heroes of legend, goes on to defeat a demon lord's number one general (I think?), but then has a problem dealing with fucking (figuratively and literally) orcs. Then the Mary Sue goes on to defeat a legendary Evil Dragon and an episode later is nearly killed by a normal demon (in combat, he wasn't ambushed or anything). This shit continues for the rest of the series. The next thing I want to mention is characters forgetting what happened just a few moments ago. I don't remember how many times it happend, because I can't be bothered to use my brain capacity (the little I have left after this) to store the plot of this garbage, but the one that stuck out to me is right after defeating that normal demon guy I mentioned previously. When the MC and the blue haired girl are fighting him he clearly says that he's going after the MC because he killed the demon general and the legendary evil dragon and he's a threat to his plans and they both clearly hear it because they act shocked. After they defeat the demon, the blue haired girl asks the MC: Do you have any idea why the demons would target you? MC: Hmmm, I have no clue. BITCH I WONDER WHY. The series is filled to the brim with braindead moments like this, but I'm not gonna mention all of them because 1. This review is already long enough, 2. I don't remember it all, 3. I can't be bothered, because I would have to literally write the entire script of this piece of trash. The only reason I didn't give this garbage a 1/10 score is because of the girls, at least they are somewhat decent characterwise (especially the mom of the MC). TL/DR: Don't bother watching this, even if you have nothing to watch. I won't ever get back the hours of my life that I spent watching this, but you can use yours doing/watching something else. You would literally have way more fun cleaning your room or doing your homework than watching this garbage. The only exception is if you're a genius megamind that wants to fit in with normal people and is looking for a reliable way to lower their ginormous IQ. Then look no further, because this show was made for you!

This anime doesn't really bring anything new to the table, it brings *everything* to the table. This anime is a parody that lays down trope after trope while cramming entire arcs into each episode behind super cheesy lines. Nearly everything that happens is an overexaggerated play on things that happen in other fantasy anime. I think the biggest issue with the anime is that this does not seem to be what it was well marketed as. However, getting upset at this anime for not taking itself seriously is like shunning Scary Movie for being a bad true horror movie. This anime isn't here to developa serious story. It's here for people who want something light hearted to watch while laughing at stupid fantasy tropes, and it does that very well. The first episode is a good litmus test if you're going to enjoy the silly humor throughout the rest of the anime. If you thought the first episode was stupid, this kind of humor is probably not your cup of tea. If you enjoyed the first episode, you'll probably enjoy the rest of the show.

So there are many reviews hating on this anime and I understand them. You see, some people just dont understand what parody is. Anime community is really toxic and cant appriciate lighthearted shows, they expect every anime to be really great otherwise it trash. And when its not great nor bad they hate on it anyway because their expectations are too high and they cant take simple show for what it is. This anime is basically making fun of other OP MC shows following your basic generic plot and making it a bit absurd. Ofcourse its not the greatest comedy so dont expect the qualityof KonoSuba but if you like funny fantasy genre its for you. Dont expect much of it and dont take it that seriously and you will very likely enjoy this anime. Its a lighthearted show thats pushing your generic fantasy OP/MC to the absurd level. In conclusion if you want to laugh and not think about it just chilling, you will most likely like this show. Its a simple generic anime that makes fun of the basic "OP MC that just wants live his normal life but has to save everyone and everytime he does another girl falls for him" by pointing out the absurdity of it. Many likeable characters (i promise you will like MC and his family!) that make you laugh, generic plot that has some mystery in it and somewhat decent animation. It doesnt really try to be serious but its not "just comedy" probably a mix of both. Because of that it is not for everyone since its neither serious fantasy nor full fledged comedy. Dont take it seriously, take it easy, grab something to eat and just chill with no expectations. You will laugh and you will like it even tho its silly a dumb. If you want a serious fantasy with storybuilding, actual plot and original characters this definitely is not for you. Its something like Fruit of Evolution, Cautious hero or Tsukimichi without plot. Absurd fantasy parody with OP MC. That being said Tsukimichi is definitely much better because it has some serious deep plot and so is Cautious hero. But if you liked Fruit of Evolution I almost guarantee you will enjoy this one too! Its dumb, its fun, its good!

This show is the epitome of false marketing, and not in the most satisfying way. Legit, I was hoping that in the sea of genericness and mediocrity, would a show like this come to be something fresh, but it ended up being one of (if not) the most disappointing shows of the season. To be very honest, I am tired of Isekai/Fantasy as a genre, because once there are winning formulas that the anime industry would settle for, the outcome is that there will be people trying to capitalize on the genre, not giving two flying effs about either quantity and/or quality. And since the worldmoves too fast for its own good with people not actually knowing the wiser, that's the result of too many "unique" premises that are only the cusp of hiding the generic power fantasy premise that we the audience, constantly struggle to understand why they are so popular. Such is the case for novelist Shobonnu's Noumin Kanren no Skill Bakka Agetetara Nazeka Tsuyoku Natta a.k.a I've Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills, or as I like to call it: Isekai/Fantasy Farming. Born out as a Syosetu title that only lasted from 2016 to 2018 with the LN only reaching a total of 5 volumes released around the same period, you'd think that some people would be wise to pass up an already completed work that sounds different from the get-go. Alas, these works are like a safeguard for any production committee wanting to adapt to completion, but truthfully, the anime only grazed about 2 volumes worth of content and was done by an incompetent team that is the definition of subpar. The only unique thing about this show is how the MC Al Wayne is classified as: not just as a hero, but first and foremost, a farmer. That's right, even if the source material has a harem waiting for him, Wayne is a chad by always choosing to focus on his farming cultivation rather than the pleasures of the world, because they are parasites/weeds to his goal of becoming a first-rate cultivator. Naturally, you would assume that he would have accumulated as much EXP to max out his skills, and indeed Wayne does that, but how Shobonnu chose to write his character is one of absolute dumbfoundedness. First of all, it's in the title: "I've Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills". If my calculations are right, the anime which is based on the LN, chose to ignore the process and go straight for gold, thinking that those who read this work will be those "turn off your brain" shenanigan-filled type of people. I'm sorry, but we are not idiots, and the process is just as important as the objective/end goal and having an OP-ness of Wayne definitely wrote his character off from the start. Secondly, despite being a first-rate cultivator, Wayne's primary weapons should've been things related to farming, like either sickles or hoes, but nope, anything AND everything drawn from where the battle is held is a weapon. I would say both the anime and LN did a good job tricking the audience into thinking that Wayne would stand out from the typical generic MC of having magic powers, but it was all for naught as it soon was apparent that Wayne is just like the same old typical generic MC with nothing to offer than his farming skills. It's such a missed opportunity that Wayne's OP powers are excised for being equivalent that of a hero's, and while that's not wrong, I would've hoped to showcase more of the actual farming skills translated into battle (which we got some), which was underwhelming to say the least. Wayne's endeavours as a "hero" doesn't stop there, oh no. Due to his power skills being capable to defeat monsters, demons and the like, the plot pointer shifts to the typical overused "hero saving the kingdom" plot, where it's not just evil that blocks his way, but the harem of girls that enter his life that is not effective against his will in the way of becoming a farmer. From the kingdom's princess Fal-Ys Meigis, to the guild receptionist Helen and assigned hero Ruri, all the girls easily thirst for Wayne being the hero of their lives, though he has definitely placed his farmer business above all else. They are a nice addition to an overall lackluster character cast, but it only adds value to a genre that has been oversaturated a million times over, and for that, it's just as merchants say: a side hustle, that would be assistants helping to oversee the large land of crops. It's used as a cliche here and will stick to it like a cliche. When it comes to the production side of things, everything that Studio A-CAT puts out has the consistent 99% rate of not cracking above MAL's "fine" score of 6, and it's very obvious why: from the low-budget production to even its use of the studio's infamous CGI that's just disgusting to look at. The action scenes were subpar, and that's to be expected of a studio that never was any good for any and all matters, but only did the bare minimum to pass it off as production notes and are told to just make it work, which it certainly did. Though I would say that this does put it on par with its last produced show: Winter's Kenja no Deshi wo Nanoru Kenja a.k.a She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man. In the latter's case, the source material helped it somewhat to be the cream of the crop, the best that the studio has put out thus far. But everything else is side cheddar for this show's overall mediocrity, as it shows. The OST sure sounds like a joke that made its "Crash Landing on You". 7ORDER's OP sounds good at times, though I would chock it up to be just a decent song by the typical J-rock band. But Pop Shinanaide's ED is a perfect example of how very little effort was put by the production: just a set of scrolling and alternating pictures along the credits line, and then a relative item towards farming. If anything, this has got to be one of the most boring and laziest EDs ever, what a record for showing that they knew when to give up and do their absolute best, which is just a slideshow of sorts. With all the glaring faults that this show has accumulated over its runtime, it should already be a no-brainer that this show just sucks on every level. The only hope being that Wayne could pull off a one-hit-KO stunt by using vegetables to kill monsters in the opening episode definitely set the tone for the unique speciality, only to have that potential be squandered for a multi-faceted generic one. Lazy writing, coupled with stereotypical characters with lazy animation, and you have a work that's easy to recommend people to avoid it and save time by watching something else. It's just trash, period.
