Marine Shukkou!!

In this 2:23 music video, we see Hololive set a new standard for their talent's music videos. The animation follows the plot of Hoshou Marine our swashbuckling, pirate captain set sail with her merry crew of brigands. The animation is incredibly fluid, and bright. The music video prominently features other Hololive talents who can be seen interacting with our heroine and her crew. Importantly, the now-graduated member of Gen 3 Rushia can be seen in the video. Marine spoke at length on stream that she wanted the entire generation to appear together despite the circumstances around her departure from the agency. The full versionof this song is almost double the length of this video. Hololive really stepped up the production value for this project compared to prior works by some of their other talents. This music video opts for full animation, detailed backgrounds, and a broadcast anime level of art direction and compositing. The days of the highly stylistic, but minimalist, limited animation music videos we have seen from Hololive are behind us. This is the new standard and I look forward to future productions of this caliber.

Alright these music videos are starting to be way better than they have any right to. Where is the anime series this is promoting? This straight up looks like a PV for an upcoming show about pirates. I'd watch the hell out of a Hololive pirate anime. The few cameos from other Hololive members make me imagine some sort of expanded anime universe. The likelihood of that happening though is about on par with No Game No Life season 2. I like the new song from Marine, and you know they had to have that moment of fanservice to fit her whole "I'm horny" meme she'sgot going on. It sure got my erre... attention. I was going to say attention... 8/10
