The Way of the Househusband Season 2
極主夫道
With a wicked scar on his face, a terrifying gaze, and an apron adorned with a teddy bear, ex-yakuza member Tatsu proudly assumes the role of a full-time househusband. Already familiar with the regular challenges of grocery shopping, Tatsu now takes it to the next level by joining a women's organization—but acceptance is not easily achieved without first mastering the elegance of flower arranging and housekeeping. Approaching homemaking ventures through the lens of his former occupation, Tatsu faces haiku battles, typhoon alerts, and cosplaying villains. For his dearest wife Miku, Tatsu will do anything, even if he is interrupted by his old acquaintances, whose former vigor has also yet to subside. Never faltering before a new challenge, Tatsu's tranquil days as a househusband are proving to be just as hectic as before. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

It moves now..... YES, THE BUDGET HAS INCREASED AT LAST !!! THE CHARACTERS MOVE NOW; THERE IS ACTUAL ANIMATION. Rejoice, brothers and sisters and the in-betweens, we have got Half-assed Gokushofudou [but still edible/watchable]. It's good, same as always, short, sweet, to the point, and enjoyable. The character art has improved tremendously. And the episodes are lesser in number, but the quality has risen by levels of mountains and hills. If you ask if its worth watching, HELL YES. It's a direct to brain dopamine injector. ITS FUN. Simple as that, with no tremendously intertwined and thrilling plot. Just enjoy the freedom of not always sitting on theedge of your seat. And enjoy TATSU IN ALL HIS GLORY OF BEING A BADASS...... house husband. 10 on 10. [NOICE] Thanks for reading. I wish you a prosperous new year with glorious new animes your way.

The second season of Gokufushudou produced the same atmosphere as that of its prior, and was a well rounded anime, full of comedic exerpts. The main genre of the show would be comedy, with limited amounts of romance and action shown between, which differs the show from usual animes. It is also necessary to point out the unique animation style that the studio has proceeded to use, as they have stated that the style was one, to look "as if the manga was moving", and thus have portrayed the style extremely well, and is an integral part in how the anime exceeds many expectations Altogether, it isa highly enjoyable anime to watch, and is a nice casual binge to lighten the mood, and is recommended to anyone who is in need of a casual, bingeworthy comedy for all ages.

This review is for the entirety of the Gokushufudou anime – season 1 and 2. I watched it all in quick succession and the tone is consistent enough throughout to only warrant a single review from me. Gokushufudou is an amazing comedy anime that I can highly recommend. It made me laugh out loud frequently which is something few other series have ever been able to achieve. I watched it together with my partner, and being able to share this comedy with someone else was a great experience. The premise of an ex-yakuza, Tatsu, becoming a househusband is novel, but it could have become boring if notworked out properly. Fortunately, each and every mini-chapter within every episode had the same charm and managed to create a new spin on the same concept. In this way, even though the same concept was used over and over, it stayed fresh every time. Tatsu’s yakuza vibes contrasted hilariously with his household tasks – yet the intensity with which he approaches those tasks only makes the whole affair funnier. And then there are the many double-meanings and implications and misunderstandings caused by his speech style. The main character is so steeped in the yakuza way of life that his way of wording things always ends up becoming a catalyst for the humor in this series. Of course, it’s not just about Tatsu. His wife Miku and friend Masa make frequent appearances as well and the series would not be complete without them. In fact, there are a dozen other side characters that are vital to creating new situations for Tatsu to interact with. All in all, I can say the characterization is excellent and ties in with the style of comedy perfectly. Now, the animation is very to the point, and especially in the first season is more like a slideshow. Honestly, I wasn’t bothered by this at all. It seems to only increase the comedic timing of certain events. It was refreshing because while the animation was simplistic, the actual art and quality of the linework was good. In fact, there are lots of stances and facial expressions throughout Gokushufudou that are really funny, creepy or otherwise impressive. The sound effects and background music were fine, but the opening in particular goes hard. Again, there is this contrast between a pretty hardcore musical style and lyrics that are all about doing housework. It’s great. To summarize, Gokushufudou is a funny series consisting of many short chapters per episode. It keeps using the same premise over and over, and if you enjoy this premise it’s likely you’ll enjoy the entirety of the anime.

The Way Of The Househusband is a weird but interesting series that you could easily finish in less than an hour. Nothing too special but an engrossing series to say the least and the 2nd season does follow the same. It doesn’t dive too deep into romance and action, it sticks to comedy, and that’s what I appreciate in this series. The quirky unorthodox humor is strangely great, which accounts for laughter. Just like the first season, Season 2 has nothing new to offer, just some simple light comedy. The only problem which I still feel prevailing is the animation/art style. I wish it could havebeen like some normal anime instead of slideshow. With all of this taken into close consideration, I rate Gokushufudou: The Way of the House Husband at an overall 7/10. Although it falls short in some visual qualities, I believe it more than makes up for it in story, comedy, and character. My Rating : 7/10

Going full throttle on the insatiably comedic Yakuza and househusband crossover, we as the audience are strangely captivated by all the nonsensical ways Tatsu "The Immortal Dragon" pushes the boundaries of everything surrounding housework, community affairs, and marital competence. This time, however, audiences are already privy to the arduous path Tatsu has taken to acquire his esteemed level of house husbandry, and they can find satisfaction in the transference of skills and knowledge into the new, crazy scenarios Tatsu involves himself in as a result of his inescapable Yakuza past. The feature of old and new faces alike also doesn't hurt, as it helps setup well-timed punchlines and stints of character development. "Gokushufudou" never fails to deliver its intention to entertain and amaze because the protagonist is something whose past, present, and future the viewer loves to see challenged and related to.
