I disliked the first season so much, but I decided to trust the process and continue watching it. it was worth it. Unlike season one, the second season gives you some hints by which you can guess who might be the culprit and how their plan works. On the other hand, it also follows the story of Ron's life, our main character, which all of us are obviously more interested in. I somehow believe all the random cases that we watched Ron solve were only there to show us "hey this dude is a genius! he solves cases with just a glance." I think one case wasenough to prove this to us, but they gave us many random and unrelated cases in season one with no hint for the viewer to guess and follow what happened, which made season one boring. however, season two somehow fixed these issues a bit: 1) cases had more hints for the viewer to assume who the culprit is. 2) we learn new information about who Ron is and what has happened to him. 3) some of the cases that Ron solves are related to him and who he is. I believe season two (and season one also) should've focused on Ron's story more and avoided solving unnecessary unrelated cases to make it more enjoyable and interesting. however, the cases in season two were solved in a logical way with all the given hints, forcing viewers to pause and try to solve the case on their own.

The second season of Ron Kamonohashi leaves me with a bittersweet feeling. The anime starts off on a high note with a super interesting story and showing us what would apparently be the villains of the season or even of the story in general. The problem comes once the first arc is over, when they don't mention these villains again in many chapters and the plot picks up again in the final stretch. The feeling is like being thrown a bucket of cold water, in the end it's not what one expected from what seemed to be an interesting story from beginning to end. It's notthat the rest of the stories weren't interesting or entertaining, it's simply that compared to what they gave you at the beginning, none can reach that level. On top of that, the final stretch gives you a rather vulnerable version of the protagonist, so the whole part of the mystery and its resolution feels a bit bland. The mystery never stops being good, each case is just as good as the last, the antagonists/villains have clear and understandable motivations and the resolution of the cases, in many of them, can surprise you with their creativity. Maybe my preference for more intricate stories simply makes me feel a bit dissatisfied with what I've seen in these 13 chapters. Toto is one of the best characters in this anime, if not the best. The depressed version of Ron doesn't quite convince me. I know it was necessary for his development but not seeing him in his confident version made me lose a lot of hope. It's similar to when they tell you that instead of going to your favorite band's concert, you go see a tribute band in an abandoned warehouse. My feelings about this work are a bit mixed, I don't know whether to recommend it or not sincerely. On the one hand, I know that if you like mystery and detectives like Sherlock Holmes, you will enjoy this like a kid in an amusement park. But, since I didn't enjoy it the way I initially thought I would, it wouldn't be honest of me to give a recommendation because I don't feel it completely.

amazing fujobait, but actual trash if ur actually looking for something serious. the same as season 1, the mysteries were easy to solve or just didnt make sense or left things unresolved, and the house of M stuff is kinda goofy and cartoon villain-ish, and also it pisses me off the way they violate police protocol and never question ppl separately and other stuff. also they often tell us stuff, but never show it happening. like when they say ron thinks like a criminal i just think "does he? huh i dont remember that happening", and things just happen way too conveniently. but im not here forthe mysteries or story. im here for the fujobait. this is peak fujobait, i love this so much. like near the end of the last episode they made jokes that ppl will think they are a detective couple. like this is some quality fujobait and i am here for it. thank u for blessing me with a season 2 of this garbage

This second season of Ron Kamonohashi started off strongly with a crime orchestrated by the M. family. This first arc is three-episodes long and gave me a lot of hope as I was waiting for answers, since season 1 was a series of random crimes that were mostly unrelated to the bigger/main plotline. However, the next episodes of season 2 followed the same narrative as season 1: Toto and Ron will go here & there and investigate random crimes. But, as compared to season 1, those will allow Ron to try something, which I can't say otherwise it would be spoilers; in other words, thoserandom investigations still serve the plot. It is not until the last arc of the season that the story will tie back to the intrigue surrounding Ron. This last arc was four-episodes long and finally gave us the answers we were waiting for in the last two episodes. Therefore, if you don't like having to sit through random investigations that are unrelated to the main plotline, then you will not really enjoy this show. I do think that the answers we got were worth watching the entire season. I have to say that the random crimes always feel a bit unreal and I cannot take them that seriously, as the strategies adopted by the criminals don't really seem possible to put in place. That said, the author is really creative and that is appreciated, because I, like Toto, cannot solve those mysteries by myself. The only gripe I have with the show so far is the development of Totomaru. One would think that he'd start solving the crimes by himself but he is still counting on Ron's reveals and explanations, which means he is just a spokesperson for Ron. I would've liked to see him progressively start finding things on his own. Thankfully, in the last arc, he was very useful and of great support to Ron (can't say more otherwise this is spoilers), so I can probably see him evolving towards crime-solving by himself in the future; that would be great! Overall, this is an enjoyable second season, which is slightly better than the first one as we dive deeper into the main intrigue! I selected "mixed feelings" as I don't think I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mention the anime to me. If you are interested in the anime, my review is what I would tell you, and I would recommend the show, if you're not expecting an anime that is complex and has a complex storyline.
