Review: Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time I just finished watching all 12 episodes of Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time in one sitting, and I have to say—it was a fantastic experience! What really stood out to me was how refreshing this anime felt, despite being labeled as a harem. Unlike most harem anime, the main character wasn’t a pervert, and there was no forced romance or awkward ecchi moments. Instead, the story focused on genuine bonds between the characters, which made it feel much more meaningful. The dynamic between the characters was truly the heart of the show. It felt less like aharem and more like a found family—a group of misfits who helped each other break free from their past struggles. The relationships weren’t about attraction or shallow infatuation, but rather about trust, support, and personal growth. Each character had their own burdens, and together, they gave each other the strength to move forward. The storytelling was also really well done. It wasn’t just about action or adventure; it had emotional depth that kept me invested from start to finish. Even though it’s a fantasy anime with alchemy and magic, the way the characters connected felt incredibly real. Overall, Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time was a genuinely good anime. It defied expectations, delivering something heartfelt rather than just another generic harem story. If you’re looking for an anime with strong character bonds and a wholesome atmosphere, I’d highly recommend giving this one a watch!

This is good trash isekai, and I say that from a place of love for trash isekai. This has all the ingredients that make a solid trash isekai in place and a unique-enough story. It's a lighthearted and enjoyable watch if you're looking to throw something on with all the tropes you would expect. But at the same time there's nothing particularly special about it either. There's the standard OP main character that gets tossed into another world, gets stronger every episode, has a handful of challenges that are easily resolved, and minor struggles throughout. There's a fair amount of world building and some predictable character building. Ifyou like trash isekei, you'll probably enjoy this. If you're looking for something deeper or highly engaging, you'll probably want to give this a miss.

No - even for a trash isekai fan this is not a good isekai. Takumi gets alchemy and literally every other skill and starts making everything from toilets, to inter-dimensional wagons, to pocket storage. There isn't anything he cannot do, but the magic system is all over the place making it annoying to grasp. You never get a very satisfying OP protagonist moment. The saving grace is that the plot is fast. It felt like every two episodes might be covering a new story arc, sometimes a single episode felt like it covered what a normal LN would take a entire volume to cover. Theevents themselves might have been acceptable if the animation wasn't abysmal. Every action scene is a shot of a single still frame with movement lines drawn on them. As a viewer there is no excitement brought by watching this show, and with a lackluster story everything else falls apart. Yes, there is a lot of slavery in this as well - and girls who protest being released from their slave contracts. The other summoned Japanese people are constantly shown and are mostly irrelevant, but they spend 2-3 minutes each episodes showing them being generically evil. Takumi doesn't develop at all as a character; maybe towards how he views his slaves, but nothing that distinguishes him over any other protagonist. It feels like he just reacts as a nice guy would to everything going on around him. Overall, i would suggest watching any other isekai that has somewhat half decent animation over this show.

This anime is not bad nor good either it's like a fast food meal that tastes good but has an oily feeling to it this is the best way to describe this anime. I watched the entire anime and there were moments where I was actually enjoying the show and other where I felt like iam about to drop it. let's start with the bad points of the anime: 1. It feels like they skipped alot of manga details about the alchemy of the main character 2. The characters often over react to things in a weirdly pointless way especially the main character and there is alot of pointlessdialogue in the anime that I can't say I enjoyed. 3. The voice acting gets annoyingly sharp sometimes. Now for the Good points: 1. The music is great it fits the anime in a nice way. 2. The main character worked hard to use the blessing given to him in the right way. 3. the characters are fun to watch. Overall the anime gets a 5.8 from me It's enjoyable if you want a chill isekai anime and you like the idea of alchemy so I recommend it if you are into that.

I'm not rating this negatively because it's a "generic Isekai." Those are fine, and honestly, most are actually enjoyable. I'm rating this anime negatively because the main plot of the series starts around 9 episodes in. Now, from looking over the synopsis alone, I can tell they likely skipped some content, but in a story where you want to see the main premise of time travel work, the most interesting parts ends before it really starts. What makes this Isekai unique is that the hero was summoned by a Goddess years before a kingdom summoned its heroes. This is because that Kingdom has less than great intentions. Thisleaves the anime to dedicate most of its episodes to world-building and saving heroines. The heroines are more fleshed-out than some other Isekai anime, as they have attempts at more complex backstories, but their personalities drop down when they join Takumi. Takumi is probably the main reason you would watch this anime, that and if you really like the concept of alchemy magic, it's fun to watch him create modern inventions in this world, but they just don't do that much with the cool concepts they DO have. If I can compliment some parts, I would say the character design of the characters are nice, they're just "good" to look at, Takumi's design is pretty refreshing actually. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever watched, but it's hard to suggest something that starts the main story at the end of the series, while the previous world-building could have honestly been done in like 6 episodes. They keep teasing the hero summoning throughout the anime also, so when you're left with no conclusion, there isn't really any point watching this compared to reading it. I imagine for Light Novel readers, this was a lot more enjoyable, and I'm sure the Light Novel is fine, but I would suggest just reading this series if it interests you.
