サラリーマンが異世界に行ったら四天王になった話
Suffering years of workplace abuse and shuffling between different countries to take on jobs no one else wants, Dennosuke Uchimura never expected his next transfer to be to another world. After all, his tireless efforts catch the Demon Lord's attention; he deems Uchimura the perfect candidate to fill the vacant spot among the Four Heavenly Generals. Despite Uchimura being an ordinary human, he earns the Demon Lord's recognition through his knack for solving impossible situations—a skill he honed through years as an overseas manager. With rising dissension among the demon army and failing negotiations with other tribes, it is up to Uchimura to justify the faith bestowed upon him and bring one final push for the Demon Lord's vision of dominance and perfection. This is a 5 for most people - mainstream generic nothing to add filler but also not terrible or distractingly bad. The story isn't unique but the context is. There characters are either cardboard, or if you've ever been a middle manager some of them may be fascinatingly profound. If you've ever been in middle management, it kind of speaks to you on a whole other level if you're deranged enough to bath in the trash that is the isekai genre. It's somehow very validating and kind of funny seeing a part of "real life" captured in a satire like this.If you fall into that category too, it's an 8. Kanpai!

As someone who is a Business Administration student I really enjoyed this anime. You might wonder why? Because this Isekai-fantasy anime really portraited some of the real world business theories. Uchimura is just an average salaryman who got summoned by Demon Lord. Now he became a 4th elite general of the demon army. He begins to reform the demon army's operation by applying modern business principles to improve efficiency, morale and overall effectiveness. One of the standout aspects of this anime is its clever integration of real-world business theories into a fantasy setting. The protagonist utilizes concepts such as SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats)and even motivational theories like Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to transform the demon army. This unique approach not only makes the story engaging but also provides viewers with a practical understanding of these theories in a fun and accessible way. This anime does a excellent job in terms of balancing both comedy and action. Other characters of the demon army's are hilarious as well. Specially Ulmandar. Her tasks(love for Uchimura) fails successfully. But overall the characters are well written with a mix of camaraderie, rivalry and mutual respect. The animation quality and character designs are top notch. But didn't liked the Opening and ending song that much. In conclusion, this anime is a unique blend of both fantasy and corporate drama. Must watch for those who are interested in Business and Management.

An isekai where the MC is a salary man/manager that was in a really toxic environment at his company, where he got a lot of trauma, and then gets transported to be directly one of the 4 generals in a new country to help them there, while the demon lord that leads that country is coaching him. This anime feels to me like a top one in bottom tier isekais. The story has a pretty interesting premise, with the really talented kind of manager that gets destroyed by his company and colleagues and is unappreciated, getting a new "work environment" as a general in another world, butthe execution is all over the place and plot holes pop up a lot. While this could have been an anime where the story would emphasize what a good people leader can do in a country, how complex problems get fixed in a country divided by so many things and that gets so many calamities and potential disasters... it was not. I would even say it is almost childish a bit how everything gets resolved most of the time, but it mostly feels like the author didn't really put much emphasis on the realistic ways of things. Either that or the anime team really cut a lot of stuff out and/or diverged from the source material, which tbh it feels like that quite a few times, especially the rushing. There was an event that was very important, if not even the most important event in the whole anime and that country's existance, and it got rushed to hell, full of really weird and imo dumb decisions that don't make sense. Like for example sending a chunk of your army back after a fight on the front, even though you know the fighting didn't finish.... and that wasn't even the dumbest thing when it came to that part, but I won't say much as it might spoil something. So if it's not an anime that is about what you would kinda expect from the premise of the anime, what is it about? It surely isn't about the MC getting together with the FMC, even tho the FMC throws all the signs at him and this man looks at those signs like a toddler at the drying of wet painting on a wall, which really put a down on me watching it because this man is an ADULT and acts so indifferent to her, even though he should have a really high emotional intelligence and should be able to read/catch SOMETHING like that from her. Tbh if the anime would have developed their relationship, I would have had a really good time with it and put it in mid, but it didn't... So now to answer the question: this anime is just about an overworked, unappreciated salaryman that got destroyed in real world, getting isekaied and being healed by the new work environment, where the demon lord literally acts like his psychologist or something trying to help the MC mentally. And this gets us to the characters. As I've said, MC is kinda a talented wimp that needs help, mental help. But then he shows that he can act cool and all and can be really good, and the next thing you see is him kneeling and asking forgiveness and to be sent back home because he couldn't do a good enough job, even tho he got the best result possible. After a few scenes like this, it got annoying pretty quick. But then we see why they need him there... most "people" there are dumb... really dumb. Or lazy. Characters would come, get a pretty good position in the story, and then barely appear anymore. The relations between characters do feel underdeveloped, but they do show them like they developed it already behind the scenes, which for a type of anime like this, it is pretty bad, as the world building should have been top tier for it to work, because that's one of the main premises of the story: MC helping the country work in that WORLD, so it would be criminal to not get a WORLD and not be shown world building... so as you could guess, the world building kinda sucks. Barely anything gets explained, a lot of things are simpleton stuff that is close to them being childish... Also that country feels sometimes so small with how quick they get from one point to another, then they talk like it's so big... I don't even know how big that country is. I saw a map, and thought it was pretty big, but they never explain time and distance in that anime, so I never get an actual idea like "it takes 5 days by carriage to get there". A lot of time characters would just pop up in one part of the country after another like it was just a small walk distance. So yea, there's really not much going on good for this anime... everything feels subpar, underdeveloped and underdelivered to the point where even you might ask why do it in this weak way? Oh, btw, they try to be funny and comedic sometimes... for me the jokes did not hit... mostly felt cringe. Story: 5 -- Not what I expected with such a premise. I was not in for a psychology appointment for the MC, with a subpar and underdelivered world that should have been a big chunk of this story, because of the premise the MC helps that country as a general to become better in the context of that world. Also the plot holes, the rushing and the simpleton ways of presenting and solving problems really did not help... Art: 6 -- I do not like being shown a lot of people, a lot of enemies, then when the action comes, I see 5 people fighting 7 enemies and not be told anything else... And also, if those "a lot of people" are their big army that should have helped in that very important situation... ye, kinda bad... The CGI was somewhat decent at times, but they just don't want to show too much of something, even though that something sounded to be big and very important. Music: 9 -- Here I think is the strongest point of this anime, as you get to listen to a part of an old japanese song each episode which are very nice + the OP and ED are pretty good. Characters: 6 -- I do not like the MC. I do like the FMC but I started to feel bad for her after some time... The other characters come and go, some barely even come back for much, even though they are in a position that they should... the Demon Lord, the psychologist of this anime that tries to help MC get better, doesn't get explained much as well... Cannot say there are a lot of characters with big impacts that left some kind of effect on me and made me care about them besides the FMC. Enjoyment: 6 -- Didn't have much of a good time. Overall: 6 Right now it has 6.61 from 33.106 votes Ranked #6469 Popularity #2438 Members 87,220 as of 13/04/2025. This anime is a time waster. Nothing of substance is in it and I cannot really recommend it on good faith to anyone. There are way too many animes that atleast do something good in a certain area, that make this anime to be a low priority imho.

This show was amazing and revolutionary. The business and methodology aspect of this show really introduces what goes into developing and managing a country well. There were multiple instances through out the show where there was cleaver story building from start to end. A majority of the characters had viable motivation that pushed the story forward making them more three-dimensional. The world building was on another level because the watchers were given a chance to imagine the details of the world and gives reason for Uchimura to think the way he thinks. Despite the fact that praises are being sung, there are a two miniscule problems thatreside in the show as well. One, is the animation quality was 6/10 mostly because the characters movements felt unreal or just wierd; but this was the same for a lot of the life forms displayed in the show. And two, most of the side and background characters are two dimensional and are sometimes bland and non-exicting.

I'd give it an 8 if it were better, but 7 is good enough. It wasn't good in the sense that it's GOOD, it was good in the sense that it was entertaining and funny, but not good like most genuinely good anime, so it's more of a 7.4-7.6, rather than 8, which is classified as very good. I did really like this, though I just don't feel like it deserves "Very Good". It's light hearted and while there isn't very much depth and it is a bit shallow in terms of not going very deep, it's not bad. If you're looking for an animethat is simple, relaxing, and I'd even go as far as to say "wholesome" from the perspective of an isekai'd salaryman, I'd recommend it as a solid watch. Though I wouldn't suggest it if you are looking for something different, such as a deep, well fleshed-out kind of plot and execution. The pacing is also a bit quick, so if you prefer something that is not so.. fast, per se, this may also not be for you.
