There are several things holding this movie back for me: 1. The year-long gap between the parent show and this release meant the character arcs lost momentum and my connection with it has dulled. 2. Despite being a movie, there is no noticeable difference in production quality or writing compared to the tv series, which felt like a lost opportunity. 3. Despite nominally being the main character, Saki's conflicts have never interested me as much as either Makoto or Ryuuji's, so focusing on her in the finale felt anticlimactic. 4. Expanding on point #3, while this movie does a good job exposing Saki's emotional trauma, the resolution seemed toprioritize her more dramatically satisfying romantic conflict over those deeper struggles we had just spent so long exploring. That said, if you've seen the 12 episode parent show recently, are invested in Saki's arc, or enjoyed the manga ending, then by all means watch this and you'll probably enjoy it! If those things don't apply to you or you're just looking to get more time exploring the actually interesting themes of the show—gender identity and gender norms that both Makoto and Ryuuji struggle with—then you can probably safely skip this.

I think its worth watching if you liked the whole season and care about what happens to the characters. it has some pretty good drama and ties up about 75 percent of the plot more or less. I think its worth the 90 Minutes. Art - The art was about the same as the show, barely movie budget bsides maybe more locations drawn SPOILERS BELOWCharacters - I like how they dealt with her mom and grandma, I think Ryuji and her dad got the short end of the stick when it comes to tie ups. She needed to go off on her dad like she did to her mom but maybe its not worth it. Ryuji had better tie up as he got to go to the school he wants and is moving on but honestly I really wanted a "Thrupple" "Polycule" solution that all 3 end up dating each other, ryuji and aoi had some chemistry, I feel like they could have shared Makoto and also were intimate with each other too

Everything you liked about the series? Here it is, just twice as good! Saki is the best character, and that's hard to do considering how terrific Makoto and Ryuuji are. (Side note: Ryuuji Taiga? Seriously? The mangaka is a huge Toradora fan or what? 🙂) Here we dive deep into Saki's world. It's an emotional rollercoaster but that's exactly what makes the show so good. Emotions, relationships, love & anger. All presented with honesty and respect. And tears, plenty of those too. We get LOTS of backstory presented in a natural way. The only 'gripe' I have isSaki's two friends sort of appearing at the end... who are these girls? Anyhow, they're just what Saki needs & are good friends indeed. So if heart-warming emotional shows are your thing? This movie is the perfect climax for the series.
