If you've completed watching Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai and looking to Tenjou-jin to Akuto-jin Saigo no Tatakai as a source of new footage, then you better turn around, because this movie has absolutely NO NEW FOOTAGE from the ending you see in the series. There was only this brief moment in the ending where they just showed Munto in the human world overlooking the 3 girls and Yumemi notices. It lasts for only 5 seconds, and that's the only difference you'll get, besides the opening. (which sorts of explains why Munto was missing at the end of the series whenthe meeting with the representatives of the Lower World was about to commence) Like I mentioned, there isn't any difference in terms of animation, storyline, etc, so I'll just give comments on the ending in terms of both the series and the movie. If you skipped the series, the movie would have fitted nicely with the previous two OVA. Story: Conflicts between two different types of people have always been the basis for war, and Munto is no different. The way they set their stages in determining the rights of each party is somewhat shaky. Those who can't use the power but uses it in the form of external energy have to compete with those who grow and internalise them. Take Akuto as electricity. If you had a group of people in the world who lives based on the consumption of that energy, they'll 'definitely' use it up more. But what these Heavenly people fail to understand is that eliminating those who posses these powers is only a temporary solution. Then we move on to when a very 'unreasonable' and 'clique' solution. A girl from the other world is the 'chosen one' with no connections of whatsoever with the world above besides her ability to see them. She contains powers beyond her imagination and ya-dah ya-dah, by simply the touch of a human and a Heavenly being, an establishment has been restored. As for this movie that carries onto the conflict of now 'too much power' instead, it felt like as if the producers were just piling up content for the sake of continuing. This is taken from a perspective if you're the type who accepts that after both world have taken a stand, each world will live as their own, but no. Interconnecting the two worlds is what is seem as the solution, which I thought was surprising, because then that wouldnt make the girl any special anymore since now others can see it, but hey, at least people will see her as sane now. Segments that built now preparing one's mental state to conquer the beliefs of the heart were appropriate. At some points, the show achieves the notion of show-not-tell and does it so that the viewers may interpret to their own desires. I thought the scene when Munto narrates the Heavens past was too heavy. But the storyline of their past was a bit dull in explaining more of the existence of Akuto. It was just there to give a further clarification as to why transfer of Akuto to both worlds is necessary. Art I was initially appalled that the animations during the first OVA. The third definitely brought along HD quality, and the effects that brought fighting sequences and fluid movements alive just made them more radiant. I fell in love with the way Gass' marks revolved and the way his powers strikes out; simply amazing! If only they were slightly more colourful than all black, because then we could have a seen a more intricate circle. But even so, black has always had this association to dark magic, so it was a good mix of animation when he strikes. Munto's fights are really a treat to watch. It's rare to see that much impact in some of the battles today. When you see Munto doing it, you can really feel that he has that ability to release that high intensity of magic, but when you see shows like Katekyo Hitman Reborn, their flames don't bring much justice to the impact that they give. In terms of character design, it takes some time to get used to their high chests and long legs. They also really make sure that they have a 'pretty boy' in every category; king, commander of the army, average school boy (delinquent), etc, but for girls, Yumemi is the only striking one as compared to the rest. Sound I thought the sound blended adequately. Times when I thought background music could have brought out more emotions, left the scene in silence, and it makes the situation a drag at times. The opening and ending gives a really nice calming feel and that is what the show has achieved in synchronising. It sets the bar in what you're supposed to feel, and it radiates through the entire series, and it gives you that warm fluffy feeling at the end. That I can give much credit for. Character Before I start on this, I'd just like to say, GOSH, I WISH MUNTO AND YUMEMI GOT TOGETHER!!! Ahem, ahem, anyway. Munto came off initially as a demanding character; one who feels that he has the right to everything and is expected to feel all high and mighty. His character improves further with the second ova, as he is shown that despite the need for Yumemi again, he is more reluctant now as he is afraid that she was too fragile to contain the burden. In the third, the viewers are given a more sympathetic view towards Munto. This is when we finally understand his full past and the reason he acts so rash in the first two. Then upon meeting Yumemi, he opens up and we see a mended heart. I thought that lil joke that he made with the girls at the end was enlightening because it shows that even he can have a fun side. For Yumemi, I can understand how she feels like being pursued by a stranger who keeps on telling you to give him something you're not sure you have, so her actions, even though they portray her as a weak character, it is believable. How was she to cope with all the stress she receives when the only person she could really turn to to talk is so far away? The trigger point was really when she had to accept her responsibility, then that was when she told herself that she'll do what she believes in and not to look away at the other possibilities. Definitely, she is one of the few characters that have grown. I'll give short reviews on others. Ichiko is really a good friend, but her methods were of a different justice. To her it was okay to retreat; indeed in some cases running away would be wise, but Ichiko lacks sympathy and empathy to truly advice Yumemi. Honestly, she's my least favourite of the show. Susume is a mystery. She's the kind of person who says the strangest of things, but most of the time, they're the most heart-warming ones. I really envy her optimism (and boy, is she really lucky to have Kazuya for her boyfriend). Gass was looked as a respected figure. He held onto his beliefs despite knowing the cost and was often shown as a character who was ready to lend a hand in need. He is one of those characters that will leave a mark in the story other than your main characters because he had a huge step in the entire process. Enjoyment Yes, I enjoyed the series. Storyline was a bit annoying at times because they were vague and too heavy on words, but I liked the way their 'unexpected' romance blossomed even though the show never set it in hard stone. There were moments which I thought were pretty irrelevant, like the time, Yumemi and her friends were about to head to Munto, but were stopped by people and they continued to interact, make light jokes, ate heartily when at the back of your mind, you're like, "YOO HOO! THE LATER TO GO TO MUNTO, THE LONGER HE SUFFERS!!!" kind-of-thing. The show has a few of these irritating moments. Overall Pleasingly good. You won't be disappointed with fight scenes, you'll come to love Munto and Yumemi as a couple, but you'll have to brace yourself to the clique storyline.

So… this is actually the third OVA pretty much of Munto. Is it any good? Well… It’s really hard to say. I like how they try to explain everything that is going on with flashbacks to the other episodes and that it tells more of the reason why Yumemi is so special to the world in the sky, although it feels like they tried to make it up from the last two. It all sounds like they just figured it out about why she is special so tried hard to put it in. Sadly, it feels like they changed the characters personalities so that wewould get more of a romance between Munto and Yumemi even though they had a good thing going on before. Munto speaks a bit more and she seems to be spacey even though they had already taken care of that in the second. It’s even surprising that they actually show Munto’s emotions and don’t have him hiding them all the time. To me, that made this show worth watching just for that. It annoyed the hell out of me that he wasn’t showing the emotions threw anything and now out of no where, he is showing so much more. He also seems older then he was before. I actually like this a lot more then the others. I have always wanted to see Munto and Yumemi together and this has a lot more of that. The story isn’t separated like the others and feels a lot more integrated. Now, a couple problems I see is that they put so much pressure on Yumemi and even show her the dark side of the world she is to save, but really, why the hell would you do that if you want her to save the world…. It will make her want to end it is my thought. The only problem I have is when it gets to a really heavy part, they start making some light hearted jokes while you just think ‘GO HELP MUNTO YOU DAMN BITCH!’ It’s like this show has problems with its attention span. The art style really changed from the OVA, as though they tried to make it better then they could off and it just feels flat. Characters have way to long of legs; making them look as though they have no body at all sometimes. Yet, the artwork is slightly better then the second OVA, even if the CG is not as good still. I feel that it has actually been placed at the same level as the first OVA when it comes to the detail work. Sadly, action scenes look like they are full of runny egg artwork an don’t give a good feeling to the action. The music sounds like we are going into a Studio Ghibli film, at least when it first starts up. There are a lot of silent parts, making it feel slow. This thing is full of music and really has no silence to it at all, they ether have talking or music and it bothers me a bit. Some times, it would have had a bigger impact when there wasn’t any sound at all. Of all its ups and downs, I actually liked this one better then the other OVAs. It wraps it up nicely I think.

There is a TL;DR at the bottom of this review if you just want to know how many new scenes there really are (A prior review got this wrong) and some additional info. This review has been created solely to correct some misinformation that another review got wrong, specially the poor wording and incorrect how much new scenes and time of those new scenes this movie actually has. I personally rely on reviews telling me exactly how much is actually new for recap anime such as this movie but recap is perhaps not a proper word, even if it is mostly accurate. Let's start withwhy I say this, the reason is because, for whatever reason, the movie makes up names (The two I'm aware of are Akutoloid being human's original name and Heavenloids being the heavenly beings in the sky) that didn't exist before in the 9 ep TV series. Another review claims lines were changed, this may well be true but I can't confirm (More on why later) I won't watch the 2 prior OVAs as those by MAL, are mostly if not wholly the same as the 9 ep TV anime (Which the TV anime has more content so yeah) and this series didn't impress me enough to bother with the 2 OVA eps. As for this movie, it has new scenes at the very start of the film. This lasts for exactly 6 minutes. The first 5 minutes are new scenes entirely, with the last minute being reused scenes but new dialog was added to that scene. Ironically the first 5 minutes are reused dialog despite the new scenes (But also includes the aforementioned new names I said earlier). At the end of the movie after the credits have rolled, we get another new scene but this time with no dialog outside of a song being sung. This new scene lasts for 1 minute and some seconds. This new scene also gives closure to how the Munto 9 ep TV series ended by doing two things. 1. Showing where Munto went too. And 2. Removing the POOR DECISION to try and continue a series that never was going to have more content and should've ended for sure at the end of that 9th episode but nah, let's try and set up something else even though this really should've ended by now. Ironically they did the same crap earlier in the series, that was understandable but not here, not this time. It should've ended but they tried to continue it despite seemingly knowing they weren't going to not continue it (For sure knew they weren't going to continue it by the time of this movie given they thankfully removed the scenes in question). Yup, they removed the time rift anomaly and potential new stranger in it they hinted at. They removed the words spoken by Ruley that also did more set up. They removed where's Munto line and I don't think we'll find him. They removed the entirety of the scenes involving the heavenly people that the TV series had. It works better here. The only scene I even liked from that was the confirmation the lower world people and heavenly people were going to meet and try to get along and establish a relationship, the rest I actively disliked as it was set up for a continuation when again, one wasn't going to come and it didn't need it anyway and again, should've ended, thankfully the movie fixes that. As for this movie, as I stated, I can't verify the new lines spoken or not due to the fact I have not actually re-watched the recapped material (I mean, once was more than enough in the TV series, I don't care to re-see this series, like, ever), I simply skipped over this by using the preview on the video player to look for new scenes and besides the start and end of the movie, far as I could tell those are the only two places with new scenes. Despite the movie's fix to the ending, it of course, changes lines for what I said and if they changed even more lines and personality like another reviewer claimed, this would bother me, so I wasn't about to change either of my ratings for this movie. My rating is 6.0 and Love is 5.0. Personally speaking, I didn't care for this anime series, its not that good and the new scenes outside of the ending, didn't interest me, but if you enjoyed even a little you might enjoy the new content. Lastly, Currently MAL lists this movie as 1 hour and 30 minutes long. The video movie I watched and another site listed this at about 1 hour and 22 or 23 minutes long. I believe MAL is incorrect on the time of the movie. Closing: I don't agree with the way reviews changed on here over a year ago. I don't think I've done a review since then, only did this one to correct the misinformation as I said. I personally wouldn't recommend this series to anyone, but given how the review system works here I selected mixed feelings solely due to it's description which is for YOU the readers which says "Not sure. Some review readers will like this, but others will not enjoy it." Make no mistake, I don't have mixed feelings, I hate the review system in its current state, it was better before and far more clear unlike here and this may well be my last review so long as it remains in this state. I am only mentioning this fact here so you understand my personal feelings on this series and not be deceived by the system saying mixed feelings. Why don't I like the series? In short, it doesn't do what it sets out to do very well. Its just barely passable but to me feels like wasted potential and in some aspects a waste of my time. I'm not fond of the how the world was created either and the whole Akuto explanation and such. It felt like it was trying to say to the viewer something but since its only Yumeime who can do this, that message falls flat in my opinion. TL;DR The movies fixes the ending by removing the set up for a continuation when it should've ended. The movie has new dialog but I can't say exactly how much outside of the two I mentioned above (Akutoloid and Heavenloid). The movie has new scenes found at the start and end of the film. For the start this lasts for 6 minutes. The last minute here is reused scenes but new dialog. For the end this is found after the credits have rolled and is a minute and some seconds. This gives closure to the series which the TV series should've done but botched it. My rating is 6.0 and Love is 5.0 for both he movie and TV series. Bonus: Currently MAL lists this movie as 1 hour and 30 minutes long. The video movie I watched and another site listed this at about 1 hour and 22 or 23 minutes long.
