Kousuke Sugimoto is a filmmaker from Japan. After studying journalism at Doshisha University, he learned video and animation production through self-study and began his career as an freelance filmmaker. Using drawing animation, 3DCG, motion graphics and live-action techniques, he specializes in video and music synchronization. With unique concepts and stories, many of his music videos are highly acclaimed. His personal works "the TV show" and "Sing in my own way" ("Korekuraide Utau") have won prizes at animation festivals around the world. In 2010, he was a runner-up in the Tokyo Anime Awards. Sugimoto began collaborating with European studios in 2014. He directed the the accompanying video animation for the 3D classical concert "Vivaldianno 2015," which drew an audience of over 200,000 from the UK, Germany, the Czech Republic, and beyond during its world tour.
