Regro adopted Mash when he was a baby, after finding him abandoned on a bridge. He raised Mash by himself in a house in the woods, telling him never to venture into the city, as he did not have a mark, and would therefore be taken away. He trains Mash to be physically strong, so that he can defend himself.
