After losing her husband and eldest son in service to the SDF, she naturally didn't take too well to Manabu also enlisting, though she later forgave him. She's generally a supportive mother, though the two of them don't have much contact outside of the occasional visit from Manabu whenever the chance rises. She's a generally levelheaded and independent woman.
